Also, I have a question for you wuxia/xianxia lovers that hyped other chdramas like this, I usually started them…
1. The pacing. Usually Xianxia have the bad habits of having more than 55 episodes and filled them with fillers to bank sponsor money. 2. The directing, costume, set, music, attention paid to every little details to make every moment a meaningful one, thats really what makes this drama perfect. 3. An interesting and engaging ML charcaterization. Usually they really are stuck up, boring ass@@@@@, xifu or whatever who have to obey heavinly rules or whatever and creates the same type of repetitive dynamic and story. Thats why i am not going to watch Xiao Zhan « The longest Promise » even if I adore him. And kts No wonder the only xianxia i could root for the ML was Ashes of love. 4. Cartoonish unidimensional side characters, who are bad because they are bad, and good because they are good. Here they are full-fledged, humanized and makes sense. So you’Re not rolling your eyes each time you see them on screen. Probably why i also love Love and Destiny, the side character were compelling!
Original xianxia premise, good acting and incredible chemistry, multidimensional characters, spot on directing that creates a perfect story pacing, beautifl cgi, set, lighting work, color palette, and to top it all an OST to die for!
Last time it happened to me was for Rise of Phoneixes! And i’m up to rewatch it a third time before saturdays…
I started LFBAD on its first day because i liked Esther Yu in a previous drama and tadaa😂🤣
About Rise of Phoenixes, i just adore this drama, ML & FL characterization is incredible, the actors are beyond excellent, perfectly directed, every charcater is developped and makes sense, its a story of love, friendship, palace politics, values. although the drama is long it has multiple arc, so you never get a moment of boredom, its a drama where you never know what is going to happen next and that dares everything. A master piece.
Anyone know why Esther is not out promoting the drama with the boys? I’d love to see her standing next to Dylan!…
As previously said she is filming in hendian like a huge chunk of the crew but who are on different projects, since its the city of costume drama^^ During their first live they all met (excepet dylan wang obviously) in one room!
