Their issues have been resolved about the border....so now they will bring up what the witch did....the emperor will do nothing beside maybe scold them and tell the crown prince to handle it
So let's bring some discord into a resolve border tension that will avoid a war and harm citizens....great idea...sarcasm
They tell the emperor...then what? He scold them. I e. The bro and bodyguard tried to murder him....emperor stated it is no position to punish or intervene. It is pass to the crown prince and their family issues
What is the emperor going to do? He will throw it back to the crown prince to handle it in their way. The emperor isn't god....or is he above others in morals....he will do what benefits him
I.e. how the Qin try to punish the FL maid....she told them regardless of her being part of the Qin....she has jurisdiction on how she punish/reprimand her own personal maid
ML already told that witch princess. F around and you'll find out. I know ppl want more but ML clearly stated his case and he threaten them with war.....in which he has no real authority to do, but he is not afraid of them...which makes the threat even more dangerous

That storyline is different than this....that scene needed to be a yearning kiss that wasn't aggressive
