Probably it is her but is means the drama can go in plenty of direction as there can be a lot of people who remembers their past lives. It can also become a complete mess...

Honestly at first, I thought she is a person with the memories of her previous lives that she gains at age 9 or around that age. For me memories are not abilities. It is not because you remember you were riding a horse or dancing that you can ride a horse or dance. Maybe it helps obtaining the skill again, but it does not mean she has the skills as soon as the memories are there.

So I thought she would live each of her life as a different person influenced by her new body, new brain cells, new thinking, new IQ, new sex or gender, new upbringing, new environment, new education, new family background, new studies ...with a slight advantage given by her memories.

But each new episode, she behaves more and more like someone who cumulated centuries of experiences and knowledge and she shaped her personality from them. Technically, she is a 24yo woman, but her behavior is the one of someone who has seen a lot and she is toying with people.

To me this is what makes her look creepy. Not because she is a reincarnated soul in a unique and different individual but because she is now using what she knows that others do not know to her own advantage. It makes her manipulative especially in her game of seduction with the ML. What does she want really? To woo the ML and date him and marry and protect him? The way she does it looks insincere to me because both are not on the same page at all.

I suppose it will not be so easy to take for most characters who will know.

Why she wants people to know she is the 12yo teen who died? She is as much that teen as she is the Arab guy and his arak drink or that warrior or that Spanish flamenco dancer of that circus acrobat. Is she going to tell them all her lives or just one so she can go back live with SFL and her parents and date the kid who loved the 12yo teen now a handsome rich heir?

At first, I thought she lived her lives without caring about her previous ones but looks like she enjoys herself very much at being a reincarnated soul who gained experience and knowledge from her previous lives... She even uses them to tease and be toying with the others.

It kind of upsets me because she looks like a freak now. I am wondering how ML will take it... Who does he like? the multi lives soul as a woman? Or the woman as a multi lives soul?

I did not think she would tell that to the SFL...

It is clearly said that in her18th life, she is 12 and he is 9 . After she died and reincarnated quickly (as per her own words) she finds him again at age 9 so he is 9+9=18. Then he leaves and she goes to highschool and KCAIST and then starts working. When they meet again she says she is 24 so he is 24+9= 33.

It does need to pay attention and do two basic additions but most people can do that if they are really into the story.

I meant he is not a weirdo to me. He is a weirdo to her. lol

Don't trust them. It's nice romcom. The lead characters need development. But this is why we are here.

Heartbeat is real good fun in a different genre.

So far FL is more complex and endearing than ML. She struggles and tries to manage between family, friends, bf, job, new job, weirdo boss. ML is the one to find the right path regarding his family, his job, the girl he likes...

Agree supporting characters needs a huge boost.

That's a lot of drama! I will give a try to Revenant. Just to add another kind of drama... The others were under my radar so thank you for suggesting them.

Her age is 24. His age is 33. In her previous life, she was 12 and he was 9. What is so hard to understand? Maybe these peole can't just figure it out but they are the minority. Most people know it and enjoy the story. On MDL and on other platforms.

KTL, SYIM19L and Heartbeat are the only dramas I am following now. (Looking for others so if someone has suggestions...) I enjoy them all but differently. Heartbeat is real fun and entertainment and I expect good action too. KLT is romcom and friends/family drama because I don't believe there is real company plots, SYIM19L is cute but has darker themes with many deaths and probably clashing forces in it.

It is the most entertaining dramas I am following now week in week out.

Maybe she is not a 1000 year person? Maybe you can fallin love at age 12, 18, 60 or 600?

Another occurence of cultural appropriation issue?

Persian guy invented the distillation technique so every country in the world should say their favourite distilled drink (Rhum, Vodka, Whiskey, Cognac, Soju, Mei Kuei Lu, Saké, Arak, Arrak, Aragh... ) all originated from Persia, Iran nowadays.

500 000 is a little too much. More like 10 000 years BC. But it is confirmed distillation technique were invented by persian chemists.

She says that soju originated from arak, an Arab drink. Which is not exact. The mongols brought to Korea the arab technique of distilling and the Arak. The koreans used the technique to create their own beverage the soju. Apart from the alcohol, the ingredients of the two drinks are different and probably changed throughout time.

But I agree she never said she discovered alcohol.

I was not replying to you but to LittleFallOfRain who talked about MDL ratings. I wanted to say rating are not only based on objective criteria, but also subjective ones and it can be biased in the beginning.

Genre is also preference. Some people do not watch medical drama because even if the story is good, the cases presented are caricatural. Some do not watch fantasy. It is not their thing, so it won't be a good time for them.

Maybe you know about directing or sound engineering or editing. So you can criticize the technical problems, the bad audio, or the bad transition. As for me I mostly focus on the story which I find is intriguing and complex and on the characters that I find endearing for the leading ones and interesting for the secondary ones. I hope they will develop properly.

You, me, everyone has his/her opinion on this drama and is free to keep watching or not. If it does not meet your criteria and requirements to be qualified as a drama you can enjoy, then you can just move to another one. Lucky for us there are plenty of krama airing now and airing soon.

The overall rating is quite high, but it shows that the drama is trendy and appreciated. Not only on MDL but also on other drama platforms and forums.
