Playful guy is a ruthless killer....
It doesn't suit him on the surface but this is the complexity of the character. He looks playful and a fun teasing guy but the way he wielded his sword at these soldiers. He did not try to injure them, give them a chance to retreat or survive, his blows were fast, short and to kill and he killed them all. The guy is no joke.

I agree on that. She knew her friend's circumstances and the way things were looking, she should have moved faster.
