Why I feel it will have sad ending ?Naksu cannot live in someone else's body her entire life right? I am loving…
That's the problem with souls/sprits roaming around and they can occupy a dead one, swap bodies, expropriate a soul from its body and take control, run wild and feed on soul's energy...
Either we accept that a soul can take over a body for "life" or we consider that if its original body was lost and a soul shifter is committing a crime or sorcery taking over another body, then the only issue is the spirit should also die.
There is a good chance the ending won"t be "they married and lived happily ever after."
Better than in Lover of the Red Sky so we can say there is improvement. I wish korean dramas really progress on this and compete with US productions such as Witcher.
It is Jin Moo but I don't think he was ordered but Jang Kang because Jang Kang was among the mages who killed her family. I don't think he ordered his deputy to help the little girl he failed to kill.
Ep2 less impressive than Ep1 but good build up of the special relationship between Jang Wook and Nak Soo now Mu Deok Yi. Now the long wait for next ep...
It's kind of morbid that Jang Wook is basically fanboying a serial killer, and on top of that, his father is responsible…
Jang Wook needs a good master. Plus Nak Soo kills Mages. Mages are a caste which promotes an order to make their own achievements and gains / maintain their power. They are not innocent. They killed her family and she was raised by them before she was recruited by an organization to become their strong arm. It is not about killing innocents randomly. I believe it is a game of rivalry + vengeance.
wait so biologically speaking, ml is his dad's son right? but it was the king who had him(uhhhh emotionally)
Daeho universe is one where the spirit and the body are distinctive one from the other. This is why they can exchange bodies or take a "dead" body with no spirit and live in it or shift into another living body with a spirit.
What I understand from this is that Jang Uk is Jang Kang's biological son. The body is from him but the spirit was fathered by the King's spirit. Knowing this, Jang Kang blocked his son's gate of energy and abandonned the son and mother and decided to live as a vagabond. The people seeing this understood and circulated the rumour that he was the biological son of another man.
It is the way I see it at this stage. Maybe we will have more explanations later.
ok but I feel bad for the real mu deok? like did our FL just straight up murder her? kinda makes her hard to root…
Good question because I am also asking myself "What happens to the soul or spirit of the person the soul shifter has replaced in the body?". Does it dies and go to the afterlife? Are they in limbo? Are they somewhere in the body but silenced?Or are they in the body the soul shifter left? ... I hope we have a good explanation in the coming eps... because I also fear for the real Mu Deok Yi.
I heard that this is like version version of classic Chinese genre ‘Xianxia’ so kdrama want to rob us from…
This drama creates its own universe using influences from various cultures. The swordfights are barely xianxia and look like most videogames where swords create magic like ice or waves of energy and bows use arrows of energy. The universe includes usual kdrama historical clothes with more audacity in the pattern and fabrics and colors. One guy has earrings. The hairstyle are cleary modern hairstyle. Music has a fusion influence including obvious modern drums rythms and guitar riffs.
People who really accuse others of robbing xianxia (and I have seen some of them even before this drama starts) just because they have seen an asian character fighting with a sword should go back to the definition of what xianxia is before they accuse others. They are too narrow minded to watch something beyond their grasp. They should just stay with their xianxia from communist China and their brainwashing propaganda about duty.
I reluctantly dropped 2521 at ep9. I was sure I could not stomach the probable ending. I hope this one does not…
I also liked the two lead actors and their character especially the personality of the girl. But at some stage, it was clear that they would not end up together. Because FL's daughter was clearly not ML's daughter and she barely knew about him. Just throught a diary so it meant he was not in their life anymore. I was not in a mood to watch a sad ending so I dropped it.
Probably it is a good drama with a realistic depiction of first love but it was just not for me.
This drama is going to be long and the leads will surely go thought high and low but I just hope they end up together. I have to say I don't really know how because it is a spirit in the body of another person... I wish it is not a fckd up ending like in some chinese xianxia where duty and sacrifice comes before love.

It was propably his own plan.
Also why they woudl keep the original body of Nak Soo?
