Rewatching today's eps again and the instant karma was so satisfying. Ruo Yao trying to scheme against Jiangli only to have her other sister backstab her. No happy ending for either Jiang sister and I'm loving it.
Please do not pity this type of person ffs. The FL gave up everything for him, even sold her mother’s jade pedant…
He's not the one that tainted her reputation. It's his mother and sister. And yes, he's a coward who won't risk his entire family for her to go against the princess but how many characters in a drama other than the male lead has done so. Few but not many.
Killing her was wrong and I won't excuse that but that doesn't mean I can't pity him.
Unpopular opinion but I pity the ex husband. Personally I think he loved her wholeheartedly but was put in a situation where he had to choose either his wife or family.
I think if his mother and sister didn't ruin her reputation, he might have just divorced her 🤷♀️ Idk...but again I think he could have just let her go. But maybe she'd seek answers and clear her name and that would get his family killed.
Yes, he did make a stupid choice but by force and now he's stuck with a crazy psychotic princess.

So glad Woo Seok is finally getting the recognition he deserves. First saw him in 21st CG, then as the villian in Nam Soon. Fell head over heels for him as a villian and knew he'd blow up in popularity soon.
The leads and supporting characters did so well. I am still not over this drama. I'm hoping Hye Yoon gets the recognition she deserves soon.

Only 5 eps in and so far Jiang Li has proven to be someone you don't want to mess with. I love her character and hopefully this is how she stays throughout the drama.

Anyways, I really liked Teng Zijing and I am sad he left so soon in the drama. When he and Fan Xian were talking right before, I knew it was his end. Regardless, I loved him.
Everything about this drama was amazing from cast, storyline to music.
I had no intention to watch this drama except I was on Hu Yi Tian binge watch. But omg I fell in love.
This drama has everything I'd wish for in a drama. Witty female lead, protective male lead and great supporting cast. No super long misunderstandings between any couple. Each sub plot flowed smooth without it dragging too long. Except the emperor who I wished was gone by ep 15 lol.
