Wasn't the ML'S mother the one that was raped and became pregnant? Or did this happen to the FL'S mother? I guess I misunderstood.. I thought this was the reason the ML was not acknowledged by the family.

Ok it makes sense now.. so this is the plot twist. From what I understand the ML also has a different father as well. I am currently watching ep 20.

Hold on... so the ML is eventually included in the family registery and becomes the adopted son of the second wife. Basically he became the legal brother of the FL. I do not see anything wrong with this but for them this means that a romantic relationship would be impossible.. question , so how do they get together? Is there a plot twist?

About the misundestanding I agree with you they are blowing this out of proportion. People forget that this is a show and sometimes they just have to follow the production rules. Poor Leyan she is such a nice and gentle girl. I really like her because she knows what she wants and is really straightforward with her feelings, but she is still vulnerable and its normal to show her insecurites.. this is a human trait.
People who do this sort of thing are not fans, they just do this for their own sick enjoyment.

Yes I agree he was not a pushover and they helped each other. This is not very common in asian dramas. I guess this was the appeal for me .

At one point I thought she was focused on Si Yue, them she says that she is in live with Xing Yan but regardless she does not want Si Yue to be with anyone else because he belongs to her. Now that was scary! I was happy that the FL was a smart one.
