even though this drama has a problem with the script, I found myself wanting binge watching it, and I didn't feel like this for so long now, I hope this year there are going to air more drama that gives me the 2016's vibes.

I am not that confident since Squid Game S2 is going out this year, but I hope they keep that vibe that I think it died during the years

This drama was saved by its first 7/8 episodes for me. In the end, I found myself drawn in by the performances of the actors. I appreciated that they didn't feel the need to bring in any newcomers because that would have detracted a lot from the quality. The choice of the cast was excellent, and the plot seemed perfect, but then the scriptwriting ensured that everything got crammed into the last 6 episodes. It's disappointing because with such a strong start and a talented cast, this drama had the potential to be something truly remarkable.

I totally agree with you! Despite all the clichés that seasoned K-drama fans are all too familiar with, I couldn't help but notice that this drama really harked back to the golden days of K-dramas, just like you mentioned. And I think a big part of that is thanks to the cast. There are hardly any newbies; in fact, they're all seasoned pros. However, I can't shake off the feeling that they rushed things way too much towards the end. Maybe if they had stretched it out to 20 episodes, they could have done justice to the story and resolved all those lingering questions. It's a shame, really, because it had so much potential.

Just finished episode 15, and I'm absolutely floored by how they rushed things! The first part was so enjoyable to watch; I really wished they had delved deeper into it. And the finale... it's just the same old clichés, trying to lure people into watching the last episode to find out what happens. To me, it seems pretty obvious how this will end, and it's such a shame because it had so much potential. The downfall, in my opinion, lies squarely on the shoulders of the script.
