RIP - Just read up about what (Allegedly) happened to her in the late 80's, unfortunately now that I am watching alot of Asain shows and films I am reading more about the sexual assaults and Ra*es of som many young actresses and the depressing thing is there will be significantly more that were never reported or was not known about, the 2nd guy who did it actually bragged on set to the crew what he was going to do to her that night. (Yet noone did anything damm) Looks like nothing changed it's juts reported even less and it seems to be all over Asia Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong etc.
She finished filming 3 movies and SYIM19L within these 3 years. She's actually been pretty active, just that the…
I was wondering myself only thing I have watched is SYIM19L and was looking into what else she's done, I was wondering if it was due to the backlash from Mr Queen just seen an article about Nietzens claiming it was disrespecting Korea and she should be boycotted ?
Definitely not as bad as a lot are saying it is. Although the ML was an ass to the FL she knew he was going to be like that, and she went into it knowing that with the intention of making him fall in love with her, So she was trying to manipulate him from day 1. As for him and the Abuse well it wasn't abuse, abuse it was bullying at most and she knew it would happen from the start and accepted it, he even told her multiple times to divorce him but she didn't because of the above. He'd make her stand for 30 minutes, clean up, dress how he said , cook for him but not eat it etc. The only times he gets remotely physical is when he kisses her and pushes up against the bookshelves after she refuses to divorce asking this is what you want, and when he is drunk in the hotel and other than throwing he on the bed does nothing there either other than get on top of her, Not saying any of the above is right to do whether ML actions or FL for that matter.
But he seemed to have been at least liked her from before the show which made the comment I have loved you for years make sense. The scene in episode 2 I think when he turns the heating up for when she falls asleep after the punishment of standing for 30 minutes, or when he gets jealous/protective with Xui Wei, or he defends her at the board meeting etc. And I think the remark from her about she loved being treated like that I don't think she liked being treated like that other than it was the guy she loved and the fact he was doing that while not going to far and at times protecting her may be also why she says that.
Anyway am sure a lot will disagree with me, I am normally against series were women are mistreated but this show was definitely in the Grey area regarding that due to it being accepted by FL and the fact it wasn't exactly abuse he never goes too far.
If they had a bigger budget and did full episodes and fill it out with some decent plot then it would actually be quite good.
What was the point of FLs brothers plot? I thought he would have redeemed himself with the bartender but wtf what…
Exactly why i started liking him. I,m glad the creepy incest plot died down lol. AlsobJust remembered the bit as he driving off after being warned about the missing manholes by bartender girl and he is looking back at her, felt like they were implying he might actually have feelings for her, and now he has let go of his sister then something might happen ?

Agree with you on the brother, at 1st I despised him, but when you realize he is just as damaged as FL due to delusional mum I was like ahh ok I get him more now. Still does some stupid things mainly which contributing to Bargirls actions in the end.
I actually really enjoyed the show as whole but did have issues with certain things. 1) For all the the parents did to Song Yan and his father nothing really happened to them, they destroyed his life multiple times, pretty much you could say they had a strong contributing factor to his fathers death and his mum abandoning him (True she made her choice to become a whore) but would she had left if they hadn't destroyed the father? 2) Although in the flashback when they were originally dating they showed his mum unhappily married looking after two kids who saw her as a servant and husband who is constantly cheating on her (Karma) I would have liked to see what happened to her 10 years later hopefully alone and in a worse position than she left Song Yan and his father. 3) I don't get the hate the female lead is getting for her portrayal of her character, I thought she depicted her very well she was timid and quiet after years of what is technically coercive and abusive behaviour from the mother your going to be like that you will keep returning like beaten wives don't leave and abusive husband etc.

Bartender girl I am still undecided about her, some points made be think the same she was only interested because of his wealth, but other times I think she actually was in love with him possibly brought on by his mixed signals because at times he definitely led her on even though he was still cold. Think she was kinda of inbetween she was genuinely interested in him but she was also attracted to the money at the same time.
Poor Anne Watanabe, Masahiro Higashide is a as*hole and Erika Karata is just as bad 19 is old enough to know better, I don't get how someone knowingly becomes a affair partner knowing the other person is in relationship, regardless if there are kids involved. Am sure I read somewhere neither apologized and unsurprisingly (karmic though ) Erika Karata career was damaged more. Anne literally married her father poor woman.
As a man I am surprised how worked up I get defending actresses who have outed their cheating Ex, arguing with WOMEN of all people who are defending the cheating scumbags because their career is affected (then don't cheat, simple). The women are like cult members or religious zealots lol. I'd be on the other side if the cheat was the woman (not like women don't cheat as much) just seems male celebrities seem to do it more or are worse at hiding it. Why you would cheat on woman who looks like her is beyond me, if your not happy break up.
Funny thing is after watching western films and TV shows my entire life, I rarely cared to read up on what they themselves did and who with.
But after barely 6 months of watching Asian TV am finding myself looking up people I,ve never heard of and getting disgusted by their behaviour only to forget their names and come across it a month or two later lol
Beating women and children, is almost as bad as what you mentioned and doesn't deserve forgiveness as it just makes them think it wasn't that bad I'll do it again. Plus from your comments you should seriously consider counseling if your trying to rationalize and forgive that behavior.
Did she have a child with that loser she was with last year? Just read a story from August 2022 apparently she was pregnant, but couldn't fine more recent info.
And what is with the profile pic she is way better looking than that.
People are finding Choi Miryeo annoying, but imo she shined these last two episodes and I'm loving herAlso that…
Got to agree with you there, she's a great character she's driven to get the truth but at the same time get ratings which makes her act in a morally grey way. plus she's a little nuts like the ML's not as much as SML though lol
It's a shame she was cheated on, but just came across a article saying she had been having an affair with the guy she is supposedly married to now for years before the divorce. if true makes her no better as that guy was married as well.
Although i am realizing you need to take these stories especially Chinese celebrity one with a huge amount of skepticism.
Suprisingly heartwarming and meaningful movie. I love one night stand romances. Reminds me of My Secret Romance.
Wasn't she in a relationship, that ain't cute it's adultery. and if I was the ML I would always be thinking oh wait how did we get together and she is on a business trip uhoh.
Underrated comment belowCheating is sweet if its done by main leads. It only happens in k and j dramas that on…
Haven't watched it but just saw a clip on Youtube literally came here to comment the same thing and she does it with a guy who literally tells her he is a player and what his intentions are, and I guess no-one even pulls her up on it.

7.5/10 for what it was a short

You want to be found not guilty I guess.

Great story to show everyone cheating is fine lol
