fr, not only this one but there many casting I have been seeing where they giving equal billing in female novel, Idk why the cent production think that the women are not capable of hyping the drama or getting investment and they need to cast a big ml. and always female novel are the one who butchered. if it is female oriented let it be female oriented. even Chinese fan are heavily disappointed by this but I think production team don't care 😔

I love Dylan and Ziyi, but from a novel-reader’s perspective, I’m heavily disappointed with the casting. This is supposed to be one of the best and most beautifully written female-oriented novel yet the production team seems to be prioritising hype by casting two major traffic stars with equal billing.Now they have to balance both sides — if the male lead doesn’t get enough screen time, his fans will criticise the production (we all know how fan fight in cent ). But if they reduce the female lead’s role — which makes up more than 75% of the novel — it would be a huge injustice to the original story.And now they have to divide screetime of 50 -50 or 40 -60 btw leads , it already feels like the script might be heavily changed.Honestly, I wish the male lead wasn’t such a big traffic star. There are many talented actors who are willing to take second billing. And while Ziyi is amazing actress but we all can agree she looks bit mature from novel side. how we are supposedly see her in her teens??I wish younger actress in her 20s or from 2000s liner might have suited the role better. Fresh faces could have worked too .The novel itself is strong enough to become a hit even without traffic casting.But it is what it is now I just hope they don’t change a lot from novel🙏

I don’t know if it’s just me feeling this way but it seems like IQIYI ending its dramas run way too fast, with very less promotion compared to other platforms. I mean, what do they even mean by finishing a hdy in just 12 days? And earlier, Unclouded Soul with 40 episodes was completed in only 9 days and many more. What’s going on? Why are they even producing dramas if they can't run for time being and not going to promote it ?🤷‍♀️

It wrapped filming just two months back, so it’s going to take time for post production then pass the review and obtain the license.

The thing is that his agency is completely useless . If he is the first-billed actor, the story should revolve around him, but in Dashing Youth, he almost disappeared in the second half. The same happened with FOF, where the synopsis shifted toward the second male lead. Even in LITC, his screen time is less than the female lead’s. And in TUS, although I know he is second-billed, I didn’t expect his screen time to be this limited.His agency should be blamed for not properly reviewing scripts before handling him and also productions that give him first billing just to attract investors. making him works 16-18 hours a day then cut his scenes and shift the synopsis to their faves.
I truly hope he works on projects that truly focus on him, with strong writing and a good production team. I have high hopes for Immortalis and KTTPH.

It’s not doing badly, but considering the plot, storytelling, and casting is so good and deserve really more but Since Xiao Yao was released earlier, many viewers tuned in because of Neo(hongye), which is clear from the charts despite limited screen time. Even the heat index increased today after being stuck for days, showing that many fans are still invested because of him even he appearing for seconds. Although he worked very hard on both dramas, his screen time in Xiao Yao is even less than some side characters, which has affected his first-billed drama. Still, I hope both dramas do well, and I believe Glory will catch up in the coming days.

I'm not sure but I heard somewhere that they paid about 30% of the amount while signing the project 40% after the filming is done and remaining when the drama is broadcasted

Because this drama is on both iQIYI and Youku, the views get split, so neither platform shows its full strength. Their heat index systems are different, so the drama may rank high on one and lower on the other. This makes the overall buzz look weaker, even though the total audience is actualy big.

I don't think it's a good news cause it's really going to affect heat index 🥲

Neo drama will be filmed for about 4 months and as for jingyi may be her drama also take this much time so lets see if they willing too.But I heard that in her next drama their will be many Mls so it will be great if Neo play as guest role
