Tonhon chonlatee has been kind of ehhhh for me. I can't really enjoy the Tonhonchonlatee scenes because the next second, Ton goes off about his homophobic views.
I don't understand why Ai and Ni were trying so hard to seem 'straight' to Ton. What's the point of being friends with someone who can't accept you for who you are?? The shows humor also seems centered around the three gay men trying to seem 'straight' to their homophobic friend and it doesn't sit well with me. I saw someone mention that the show was trying to make fun of homophobic people and their views but it didn't come off that way ://
After seeing Ton's family and their backwards views I think I understand why Ton is the way he is. I think it was good to show that homophobia can come from parents instilling those thoughts in children so i'll give them points for that at least.
As for Chonlatee, his character is portrayed as sweet and unable to defend himself from random guys that hit on him. Don't get me wrong I don't hate Chon's character, I just wish he stood up for himself a bit more( i think we're going to see his character development in the next episode so i'm looking forward to it).
I think the side characters are definitely the best part of the show. I loved Miriam and Na especially. Chonlatee's mother is also a wonderful character. She's the supportive mother that everyone needs!! I'm so glad she told Chon that he did nothing wrong EXCEPT kissing Tonhon. Thank god they didn't brush over Chon kissing Ton without consent.
I'm looking forward to episode 7, i hope Ton finally has some character development and realises that he has feelings for Chon
Friend zone season 2 is dramatic and I'm loving it lol.
I liked Bew's redemption arc. I liked that Bew pushed safe away and told him that she can only recover if she spends time away from him. That really hit hard. I hope they can go back to being friends in the future!
I'm so glad that they handled Cris's mental health issues well. Thank god they didn't romanticize it. I thought it was heart warming that Amm accepted Cris even after she let her know about her mental health issues.
As for Boyo, sis really needs to take some time off of dating. How the hell does she not see through Locker's lies?? I really hope she and Music dump his sorry ass.
As for Boom x Tor breakup, to be honest I saw it coming from a mile away. Even though they love each other a lot, they don't really have the same goals and aren't on the same page about what they want in life. I really think that it's for the best. I don't know how to feel about Boom and Tod though... I mean I'd be alright with their relationship if it remained as just a friendship but I have a feeling it's not going to remain that way lol.
As for the Stud x Earth x Sam mess, where tf should I even begin. I was expecting Earth and Sam to breakup after Earth told Sam about him and Stud but instead, they're going to do an open relationship?? What the fuck??? How do I even begin to explain how bad of an idea that is?? Earth and Sam should just break it off because it's pretty clear that Earth never got over Sam cheating on him.
I really hope Stud doesn't get hurt because of Earth, he really doesn't deserve to be caught up in his mess. I shipped Earth x Stud but I didn't want any cheating to happen :((
I don't know how to feel about Earth anymore. I loved him for around half the series but then he cheated. I guess I understand him not wanting to be the "perfect" person anymore and wanting to break out of his shell but I don't think he has to hurt everyone around him to do that :((( Earth for the first half of the season feels totally different from Earth from the second half.
I don't think 3 more episodes is enough to wrap this mess up. I don't think I'll be fully satisfied until I get season 3 lol.
I like how the show makes you trust Tan but at the same time create doubts about him in your mind! My theory is that Jane saw something she wasn't supposed to see (likely about Nam) and then someone murdered her to silence her? I feel like most people's obvious answer is Pued but I feel like that's just way too easy. Jane's sister is a little sus to me and so is the police investigator . Can anybody who read the novel tell me about Tan and Jane's relationship??(like were they dating at any point orrr not???). Also is Jane's sister a good character or not??
