I think while writing this review a few months back I had hopes for people to understand. But now that Iāve completely stopped coming to MDL after each show tells me that Iāve given up on these people. Because it honestly sometimes feels like all they want is to see 2 guys make eye contact and nothing else matters! And then lovely writer was soooo bad and one dimensional but people kept defending it that I stopped checking MDL and commenting and even reading reviews coz I donāt trust majority of them.
I kinda agree, it's hard to get invested in the story and the characters, even if I liked the criticism towards…
Correct me if Iām wrong coz like I said this show bored me so I was half asleep watching but doesnāt the publisher say things like āI want the main lead to be hornyā or something along those lines. N less than 2 mins later we see Gene mesmerized by Kaoās naked chest. The leads don even have any real connection or friendship to even start liking the other one. Itās all skin deep! Talking about how BLās use sex to sell and they did it too with every preview and promotional scenes. I mean itās the truth that āchemistryā of leads sell but to diss it and use it ? Not to mention the fact that no one knows why Sib even likes Gene ... (I mean itās 4th episode, will they give that guy some character development when heās been grumpy unsocial for no good reason! ) so far , which is too far in my opinion since itās been 4 epsiodes there really has been no good reason y Sib likes Gene. N not to mention that Sib totally tricked Gene into Kissing him. What in the world does ākiss me so I can know what the writer is feeling in the sceneā even mean ??? Iām not reading too much into this coz Gene din know he got played. Credit to where itās due ... yes consent n hiring gay actors which are small steps for human but giant for BL! But all gets washed away with a hugely boring no real story! More stories built around products.
Iām also the glass is half empty type of person with GGMTVā¦ but I will try to have some faith ! lol
