Ju nik’s family is so gross. And after Good Boy I will always think that Oh Sung Je’s characters are sus, so I’m already suspecting him. The neck shot was a little triggering after today’s shooting in the US.
Seeing Joo Jong Hyuk in two current airing shows is definitely a treat! I’m thrilled they found an American actor that can actually act as the POTUS instead of the usual jilted line reading.
Seeing ML makes me remember I still need to watch Something About 1%. I like his acting in this.
Just started watching episode 5 and had to make sure I didn’t skip an episode because we went from a fighting cliffhanger scene in episode 4 to a light scene at a campsite with the female leads? What in the world…the editing is horrible and makes zero sense. There is no flow to the storyline at all.
A long weekend drama wouldn’t be complete without a loser mooching younger brother and secret chaebol mom who gave their baby up for adoption. These surprise bio mom-child storylines aren’t even surprising anymore.
The younger brother is the worst. Of course he’s going to make the adopted storyline all about him and how he was treated differently even if he was the “real son.” You’re a freaking loser who went through your mom’s stuff to steal money so you can work and be a part of some sleazy singles bar. No one feels sorry for you or wants to be associated with you. I’m sure he’s going to keep getting worse. At least Ji Hyeok’s siblings are trying to better their situation to help out their family.
I can’t help root for the artist and younger brother. At first she was so rude, but it seems that she’s just sheltered and has an awful helicopter mom.
FL’s acting still bugs. Stop overacting every single scene like you’re shocked or surprised. And I hope they don’t set up the sister with SML- I actually like the vibe he has with the friend who works at the coffee shop. The sister is too materialistic and shallow.
Finally they got Song Seung Heon to lose his shirt. That scene made me laugh so start that I started to cry, especially when she dropped the beers and ran. I can’t believe he’s almost 50! I do wish that Cheong Ja saw the picture she took with the detective 25 years ago at his place so she finally realizes out who he really is! What a wasted opportunity. Hope the reveal comes next week with all the jealousy over the male actor.
That high pitched villain makes my ears bleed. He’s so scrawny and ridiculous- why is anyone scared of him? Can’t believe those poor women have to deal with his gross self. Can’t wait until all those jerks get caught for how they exploit those women (and girls).
SFL is awful. Complete opposite of her character in Queen Mantis, which means she’s going a great job. It seems like she has past trauma with the previous guy that attacked Se ra so maybe she will change at the end.
The brother is awful, and it seems like the mom is enabling his nastiness.
Yeah, I don’t think there’s been a k drama that has had the youngest son being the normal non-moocher, unless it’s the male lead. And the older sibling always give the younger one “pocket money”, enabling their entitlement.
Very cute movie, but I wish they fleshed out the ending a little more with why the ML came back (and how because they weee running away from his dad). Other than that, it was very cute and I’m glad we got a good chunk of the movie with the leads together and being adorable. The friends were also so much fun and supportive.
I am still giggling over the drunk dance party in the kitchen. More of that, please!
I don’t think anyone eats food more beautifully than Lee Chae Min. He’s made it into an art, and I can’t stop staring at him enjoying what he eats. And the food scenes are still so amazing. Glad that the dumb palace politics hasn’t taken over so far, and the cooking is still the main star. Hope it continues.
The market scene was beautiful with all the vibrant colors and falling blossoms. Blah for cliffhangers!
