She is badass in latest eps15 and 16. Give her some time. In ep3 she only has the wits but doesn't have the fighting skills yet. She will be training hard in the following eps leading up to ep 15.

Thought BFY and WJG behaviour was off in yesterday's ep already. There was this scene where BFY adjusted WJG 's cape, which felt a bit too intimate. I suspect there were some scenes with them getting closer which were eventually edited out

Yes. The official is someone renowned and has direct access to the emperor. He would be able to clear CWD's name and there is no need to fight then. But the condition is for CWD to form an alliance with him by marrying his daughter, which CWD refused.

I also hope she can reciprocate soon but can't totally blame the current slow progress on MX alone. CWD's ways of showing affection need some improvement. E.g. in the last ep, MX has already soften up to CWD but he keeps on bringing up WJG and making sarcasting remarks. While I understand why he is making them but those remarks are not helpful and they are making MX frustrated. Basically, these are 2 frustrated people who actually love each other but lack effective communication.
