People need to stop attacking people who found the last 2 episodes disappointing, the criticisms were not meant to detract the show or invalidate other people’s enjoyment of the show. The criticisms were made because people love this show and have high expectations coming from the previous episodes. Admittedly I still haven’t moved on from the break up scene in Ep. 11 and it’s not because that they broke up but I wish they had executed the scene in a way that justified Day’s pride and decision to break up with Mhok because saying that he didn’t want Mhok to pity him wasn’t enough of a valid reason to break up with someone when the relationship was going well. Heck I could probably even live with that break up scene had the mother not taken 3 years to give Day a relationship advice . The time jump was just not justifiable because it is not grounded in the character growth Day had experienced up to that point. For him to hold a grudge for 3 years against Mhok for pitying him was unbelievable because we have already seen Day completely adjust to the reality of his blindness and how Mhok helped him become a better person. To dismiss Mhok’s trauma was outright selfish of him and ironically shown his own lack of pity for Mhok. I also agree that it was better for Day to just remain blind. However I don’t think having his sight restored was that egregious an ending as others are saying and is completely in line with P’Aof’s other shows. That being said Last Twilight is still a gem in the BL genre. A wonderful lustrous well cut gem but with some flaws in it. I still very much enjoyed the cute moments and interactions Mhok and Day had in the final episode.
Imagine breaking up after each fight. Get a life Day geez. Is being together a joke to him? I’m freakin pressed…
Honestly, I was taken a back by the break up in this episode because I thought Day’s character have shown maturity after accepting that his blindness was probably going to be permanent. He was also beginning to act more like his friend Aon at some point. He even started using a walking stick just like actual blind people we see in real life. Yes, I get that he still has hang ups about people pitying him because of his condition, he should know by now that Mhok does not pity him at all and has showered him with love and care the entire time. Day even asked Mhok, if he would’ve done the samething if he weren’t blind, and we all know Mhok would’ve STILL chosen not to pursue the job opportunity because of the trauma he experienced by his sister’s death. Honestly they have wasted a perfectly good dramatic last scene, instead of forcing a separation just like all the other BLs, it would’ve been better if the mother actually defended Mhok during the fight scene and talked some sense to Day because he was acting like a proud and immature child.
I have replayed the last scene in Ep. 9 so much and each time I ugly cry again and again. I now know why Jimmy & Sea both said Ep. 9 was their favorite. Truly, Last Twilight is a Masterpiece not just in BL but as a TV series, it hasn't ended yet but I know this series will be one for the ages.
In reality, there are a lot of Policeman who can afford to live like that coz they came from a wealthy family.
I had to rewind to that part, I realized I skipped part 3 of Ep. 3, no wonder it was an abrupt transition from the festival grounds to having a conversation in someone's house. LOL!
In reality, there are a lot of Policeman who can afford to live like that coz they came from a wealthy family.
I can see that with Phaya, but I find it hard to believe for Tharn, who was orphaned at an early age and had to live in a monastery as a child. But then again it's a fantasy show, I shouldn't overthink details like that. LOL!
The most fantastic part of this drama is not the psychic aspect, or the reincarnation plot that was hinted or the supernatural Naga creature, it is that policemen can afford to live in fancy upper-level condos with a pool in Bangkok and a mansion in the province! Other than that, this one is a great watch! I find Yai hilarious and hot!
Am I the only one who is obsessively thinking how Mhok was able to appear out of nowhere when Day needed help in the bathroom? Did he turn on the find phone app? Did Mhok called or messaged Gee to ask their location? Or did he asked Day where he was going before leaving him? I need answers pls....
It's true that many viewers are angry with Pat's behavior and his reactions to Jengs confession, people think…
You are so right, your comment made me remember that I had a similar reaction when an older guy in his late 30s was flirting with me back in my early 20s. He was Jeng and I was Pat at that time, except we weren't coworkers, but we happen to run in the same circles. My friend group at that time didn't have the best opinion of him. That and my inexperience in the matters of the heart, made me cool off from continuing our flirtation and he moved on. Years later, I would confess to my friend group that me and that older guy had a thing then, and they actually told me they would've been okay with me dating that guy. Oh well, the folly of youth! So yes Pat's behavior would've been realistic.
I don't know about other but I actually do that a lot IRL too. Like in confusion, annoyance, when I am upset even…
It is a natural expression and totally not weird, but the frequency he does it in scenes gets to me also it doesn't help that his role calls for exaggerated expressions and that he naturally has an rbf, just thankful that he doesn't have angry bird eyebrows though. LOL!
So far I really am liking this show, I'm glad to see that the ratings have increased this week. I like the plot so far as well. I like the comedic aspect of the storyline and Gawin and Krist's interactions so far. I'm so glad Gawin finally got a lead role in a BL, because he was truly outstanding in Not Me. My gosh he is so dreamy and tall, didn't really realize he is 6ft tall, until juxtaposed with Krist who's like 5'9. I don't wanna go on the Krist hate train because of his alleged homophobic comments honestly, give the guy a break it wasn't really even remotely homophobic IMO, but I will comment about his acting. Krist is fine actually quite funny in so many ways here, I feel like he is playing this awkward Kawi guy character well except for one idiosyncrasy he does, and this is probably just me though, I don't like how frequently he furrows his brows whenever he is confused, annoyed, or upset. I literally feel the pain in his knitted brow expressions. You see it now and then during his acting in SOTUS 1&2, but now I feel like I should be getting botox whenever he does that expression. Don't hate me pls. Peace! Lol!
After watching the finale, I can say that I wanted to really like this series but unfortunately it fell short of my expectations. The plot is just messy and did not make any sense to me. I found Phuwin's acting inconsistent at best, and well Pond's acting was never the best to begin with. This was a shame because I am a PondPhuwin fan, I would at least thought that Phuwin's acting ability would have carried the series but yes it was definitely Perth, Chimon and Nat's acting that saved this for me. The last couple of episodes became a chore to watch. I honestly enjoyed FUTS much more because at least it was not trying to be more than what it was, a silly college rom-com. There I said it.
