Personally, I really enjoy endings like this (common in many C-dramas) where it's open-ended, giving you the chance to imagine your own conclusion. It’s more nostalgic and bittersweet, carrying a sense of melancholy that tugs at the heart. (Well, to each their own 😊)

if it's a normal middle school boy then certainly there's going to be more action but a depressed one...

The drama started out fun but grew deeper as it went on. All the characters were well-written, and even the "bad" ones ended up redeeming themselves.

I really enjoyed Ziqi's story and his journey of self-discovery. It was both moving and inspiring.
