thai bl fandoms are kinda moving too much like kpop fans on here rating whatever their fave ships drop as high…
These are obviously fan based ratings, not professional critiques. That's the reality of all user rating systems, whether its goods, service, or shows like these. So its not like MDL in particular is doing anyone a disservice. Its fine.
Personally, my favorite shows don't line up with my favorite ships. (Likewise, my favorite music isn't defined by physical attraction, which would be difficult since I'm very into classical music. "Did you see Shostakovich on the cover of his latest album? His facecard was lethal.") I just know that some shows, like this one, hook me so I rate them high. Other shows I rate based on wanting their current rating to go up or down. If someone else wants to rate based on their love or hate of particular ships, you do you, boo. Happy BL watching!
noooo why would they do this to usšif I didnāt know thereās another season, I probably wouldāve skipped…
I know this is supposed to make me want the next season but it kinda killed it. I feel like I have to watch but I also dont want to. At least To My Star waited until S2 to screw things up.
for me i dislike Dan cus i hate second leads they are so annoying they always have to be perfect or whatever
Mostly true except I LOVED Pheem (Dew) in Burnout Syndrome. Loved him hard, like hoping against hope level of devotion to a doomed relationship. I'm still not over it.
I know i seem crazy, but itās got to the point where Iām more scared of Dan than Big Jane because at least…
Dan makes me soooo nervous! it's always the rejected "good" guy that goes for the throat. I mean, you break them up then immediately go for the peach? WTF my dude!?
Giving this a 0.5 only because MDL won't let me rate it any lower. šš»šš»This isn't coming from a place…
I was especially disappointed with the outright rejection of ABO in season 2! (I haven't read the book, so maybe that's what happened?) I rewrote it in my head so that Charlie was actually an Enigma and Babe got pregnant. I still gave a high rating because I liked it generally and loved season 1. But it could have been epic rather than good.
What an ignorant comment. Did you know even the US Secret Service has female agents? Elite female bodyguards are…
I'm not touching any of the remarkably sexist views on this thread because there's plenty already written on that point. If you're feeling stung by what I just said do us all a favor and read some critical feminist (and probably race) theory.
My actual comment is that I thought they were using Mok's character to tee up the point that women are, in fact, capable. Thus the follow up response about gender. Let's not pretend like a comment like that isn't based on sexism; shock at a female bodyguard has its roots firmly planted in the patriarchy. I wish they had put it in someone else's mouth, someone who doesn't matter to the story. But, alas, the decision has already been made and executed. Hopefully I'm right and we never hear that again. Otherwise I'm gonna need a redemption arc him.
Wait a second... i might get now why it is not working. So imagine Tae is worried sick for several hours, calling…
I assumed Chae was a sub from the first scene and that this was a dom/sub relationship from their first interaction and definitely after the first NC scene. I know elsewhere in these comments folks were getting in their feelings acting like it was SA, when I think it was just Chae giving Tae permission to dominate him (now confirmed while sober). From this thread, it sounds like that's not as originally written, but the sequence still makes sense to me. And while I'm happy to interpret myself, I do wish they had allowed more time for the story to lead me closer to the author's intended conclusions instead. I already miss these two and they aren't gone yet!
