Oh i see what you are talking. I remember now i didnt like Jing in season 1 just because of that promise. In fact i even hated him for that as i was falling heads over heels on XL at the point of timeline. But the end is the end. I will conclude FL’s choice based on the ml’s choices.

And one important thing, now matter what they promise, only if XL said it out loud, it would be a game-changer. He could explore the space himself. No verbal communication, no future whatsoever.

Simply out of 3mls, CX is a brother. XL doesn’t confess- she doesnt know his feelings and hers for that matter. Jing is her partner and that’s it. I would say the ending is sensible

Okay i think i need to rewatch season 1 to understand your point about being stalked. I didn’t feel being stalked by Jing throughout the series, but i did feel scared with XL and even CX (even from XY’s POV). XL literally consumed her.

Also I must admit, you kind of persuaded me with your statements, but as XY loves Jing, this misunderstanding is solved through. With XL, they didnt even come to a point where they openly communicated their feelings. They did one step forward, two steps backward.

CX has every intention to kill Jing who is her life source, in this regard, XL is much much better.

In real life, of course, XL’s character like demon would not exist and CX and Jing kinda immortal characters would neither. But you can compare it to an opponent military general and you are from the other side. I can imagine it as i live in a kinda war zone country. It scare the shit out of me

Well Jing truly believes he did the deed and he has a son. He left as he believes he doesn’t deserve her anymore. . XY did move on. He only reclaim his position only after he knows XY still has a place for him in her heart and that he was plotted

Well, every girl has different taste ig. ***Not to undermine XL*** but if we are accusing Jing of stalking, then XL is a torturer towards her and CX is a manipulator.

If i were the girl (without even abandonment trauma), i wouldn’t choose XL either, he didn’t even propose his feelings.

Right from the start, the drama stated clearly “XY don’t want to be left behind”

All the ML have many chances not to abandon her.
XL made two mistakes
1) not open up his feelings 2) he chose death (like XY’s moms)

Yes, Jin made one mistake but he fell into a plot (not by his choice)but because of his kindness. Yes i can be a mistress for him (but again this here is not “mistress mistress” per se) ✌️✌️

And i also admit if i were a girl, i will fall in love with XL (but i will always think this is just my one -sided love or just a flirt) and why would i choose this flirt over a man who prioritise her and she also happen to seriously him).

All of the characters did well given their own circumstances.

However I support Jing. Jing is honest and most importantly loyal only to XY (unlike XL and CX). Even in real life, girls would choose him over others , especially a girl like XY who wants none but full commitment as she struggles and experiences first hand about being left alone. Jing wouldn’t do that no matter what.
CX chose throne and that’s it. I dont even mention any more of his endeavours.

XXL chose his army (he could have fought for his life till the end and pretend to die or something and leave with XY for an anonymous, stable life) provided that XY loved him. But XL couldnt even do that for XY. I know he sacrificed everything for XY, but not his life. And THAT’S THE LINE. XY with this “being abandoned ” trauma will not want to be left alone anymore

Regarding Male lead, everybody knows Xiao Wu is just a nominal male lead. He was there just to pass the Censorship. FSF carries the show. And FYI, this is adapted from novel and manhwa. I havent read novel yet. But i know for a fact that xiao wu doesnt appear like till last chapter (maybe cameo in one or two chapters in between) .

I just finished this drama and wanted to find some similar stuff to fill the void…tbh male lead is not my type in terms of his appearance.. i was more into cute innocent face guy. Now after seeing his acting(hopefully not the character:”)), my type is now moved on to a manly guy i suppose.

Anyway, i want Anti hero male lead who is originally evil and wicked even to the female lead. Doesnt matter if it does that have a happy ending. But he has to be the male lead (not 2nd lead). If possible with a headstrong female lead. Please don’t recommend the stuff they have already put in. I have all checked out 😁

Chinese 40 episode policy is utterly nonsensical… Making this lengthy novel into a 40 epi drama is not fair to both tge author and the audience.

So FY acting out of line could have become something to be picked on by immortals if it was ALP. (YK in ALP, Wu huan’s daughter is struck by thunder, because Shang Gu in form of an ordinary god( a child form at that), paid salute to her, who is an immortal )
