Hello, the ban thing is a chat through my friend, I asked her if we will still be able to see c-dramas and she said yes then she mentioned the ban thing.

This new rules is government noticing that the production is using a loophole of limited 40 episodes per season to limit long episodes broadcast by broadcasting it into two season consecutively, hence they plan introduce the new rules that a drama cannot air the two seasons consecutively. They have to air at least 4 months apart.

First source is from a facebook group called "Xu Kai International Fans" also it is posted by the admin that always gives updates to fans of Xu Kai (International). Second source is from weibo, also from the admin of the same group. You can check it out. It's because of Chinese regulations, which changed again. If you read carefully, this is because of the new rules of Chinese dramas. Due to new drama regulations law in china that says the part 2 of a drama can't be released before 3 months of airing of part 1. And a show can have max 40 episodes for a single part.
