This drama was good but not a masterpiece. To all the people loving it, good for you but to me this didn't matched the expectation it's prequel had set up.
Two adult people who like eachother but haven't understood the concept of being in a relationship. They meet their respective exes without bothering to inform their significant one, like for whatever reason they meet but it's not healthy and that's the main problem. They have just began their relationship, how much trust and patience does a person have on his/her new partner to not mind them constantly meeting up with their ex.
I think it's redundant for us because we see it over and over again in Xianxia. But I think this type of manipulation…
But the story follows right after Wu Haun's deed were exposed, everyone should have gotten smarter now and become extra careful. Like after what she did, people should have been paranoid and question every single thing going wrong. I get that the main leads are young with not much power now but what about those majestic people with great power, where are they when so much is going on and is about to happen. It gets typical when main leads who are not even considered in hierarchy have to deal with the things because all those sect leaders and senior are nothing but a part of the crowd.
Isn't this literally the plot of You Are My Glory...
In YAMG, ML doesn't like FL in the beginning and gradually falls for her. Here, ML is crushing over FL's gaming identity and doesn't know that girl he rejected was his crush.
This is super slow paced, to think there wasn't much progress in today's 2 episodes. They wasted so many episodes on that haircut thing and now this makeup thing. They should have cutted down the fillers and made it a 24 episode drama
After a certain point way earlier then the ending, there was no further development between the main leads, them repeatedly following the pattern of either FL or ML going to fight while the other one later goes to their significant's rescue, their screen time became more focused on fighting or war planning scenes than their personal happy space scenes.
Honestly by the end I was more interested in seeing Yang Ying and Li tong's relationship dynamics: what was their future like? Did they ever had kids? Did Yang Ying ever moved on from Yuan Lu and restarted fresh with Li Tong Guang? Did Li Tong Guang finally let go of his obbsession over FL? (which is something that I personally think that writers went overboard with, especially that wedding scene.)
No matter how much she mattered him before, he should have been smart enough to not pull a stunt like that when he already has so much in his plate. I mean that guy is smart and is popular between women, why would he obsess so much over a girl who rejected him in every possible way. Doesn't he have way more important stuff to do. In my opinion it was nothing more than a filler used for time duration.
In the novel, Qian Fei's height is around 160 cm. But Wang Chu Ran's height is 172 cm. The character of FL is…
true.. they are good actors and I want to watch them but the height difference of the actors is different from what I imagined the characters to have when reading the novel.
This year really was so great...so many good dramas. Meet Yourself, when I fly towards you, hidden love and last but not the least Love me, Love my voice. All good stories with every charcters having super good undertanding and healthy relationship, no typical drama involved.
People are commenting about the hate in comment section and having long discussions about it but I barely noticed any hate other than a few spammer and getting unnecessary hate is pretty commmon to have in such anticipated drama. Some of you really need to chill and ignore those hate comments instead of giving them clout by discussing about them.
they changed the names, I was okay with it but from these 4 episodes I feel as if Yuan Qi is quite different than what I imagined him to be. His younger version in ALP sort of lived parentless since Shang gu was in a sleep and Bai Ju wanted to protect him from Wu Huan and didn't wanted his son to get attached, since he was planning the sacrifice. Even then Yuan qi seemed smart and someone with great ambitions. But here, he doesn't care about his cultivation and has no goals or ambitions. Just because a pretty girl saved him, he is willing to anything she says. Even to point of messing with Phoenix thing, so stupid thing to do for someone with his background. Somehow his younger version was more mature than he is right now. I get it that storyline wants to give his character an arc but degarding a character just so it could show progession later, doesn't seem fair.
WZM is a good actor but he's too much in his comfort zone. Almost all his drama are of him playing a serious CEO or professor. All his characters are carbon copy of eachother. In this drama aswell, he is playing his typical CEO self.

A doctor and a voice artist, now that's the trope I never thought of.
