They really should have made this a 24 or 28 episode drama. Both the secondary couple are basically going back and forth. GJ & BRS, both of them don't know what they really want (super toxic) while in the case QSY & YY, QSY is throwing herself to a man who is decade older than her (she is basically nothing but a second choice to him). All four of them are being used as a filler with no good storyline. The amount of screentime they take, leaving main leads with bare miniumum. Moreover, the little amount of screen time the leads have, get's used in their slow motion moment which are disturbed with phone call and FL being a red flag.
The FL and Yu You blind date setting is way too irritating. All FL needs to do is have an heart to heart conversation with her mother and seriously tells her she likes someone or she currently going out with a guy. But instead she mulitple times have gone on blind dates with Yu You (this a serious redflag). And about when her mother didn't trust her with SY being her boyfriend, she could have send her mother the couple photos they took together on the temple. Shi Yan already has trust issue and I have feeling that this all is going to come back in future.
Jxn never wanted to be the empress because she wanted power. If she wanted power, she wouldn’t have been that…
She suffered a lot and wanted love but she herself doesn't realised when her need for love turned into greed of power. To say she suffered doesn't justify of all her wrong doing. She ruined and used people. It won't be wrong to say that she became the person, she hated the most.
I get that FL likes ZZ because he was the only one who had selflessness and never demanded anything in return. But let's not forget that Yan Lin was once good to her too but she chose to leave him in his weakest moment because of her greed of her power. This comment is not the comparison between ZZ and YL instead about the FL (in her previous life) who has admiration and guilt for causing ZZ's prison sentence but not for YL and those servants who genuinally cared for her at some point of her life. Good thing, she got a second chance and is making it up for her mistakes.
The writer really did this drama dirty. Such a beautiful concept and they turned it into trash. I spend most of the drama, skipping the toxic character's plotting and hoping for the good part to finally come, only to drop it in the end. I watch drama to enjoy not to get mental stress. The idea of finding second love chance was beautiful, drama's main should have been on ML finally opening up and his journey to move on from his dead girlfriend with the help of FL. But the drama didn't really managed to deliver that message, once they were together the whole drama's point changed toward toxic characters and their plotting. Message: 'Once you find love, all your ex's and people who have crush on you will plot against you. Not only they will ruin your new relationship but also your professional life."
40 episodes!!!! Xu kai's drama are known to have long misunderstadnings. I hope half of the episodes are not passed off with main leads having misunderstanding.
Why is everyone comparing Wang Hedi to Luo Yunxi. The first is 24 years old, the second is 35 years old. "Sweet…
Honestly I don't think it's about acting skills or age, those people are simply toxic immature Bai Lu & Luo Yunxi shipper. They can't deal with the fact Bai Luo is doing a romantic drama with someone that is not Luo Yunxi.
Thought this drama was about healing and second chance love but now with annoying ex-boyfriend, dead girlfriend's sister who seems way too interested in the ML (which is weird since he was her sister's boyfriend) and secondary couple getting too much of the screen time. They turned the storyline into the most typical one.
So they have added more characters and second couples compared to the novel...I hope that their storyline is actually good and not just some episode fillers.
The drama is really good but I can't get pass the FL expression. I get it, that FL is supposed to be a depressed, socially awkward introvert but that doesn't mean being expressionless and having super bland facial expressions all the time. Like it starts to feel unnatural after a certain point.
The subtle yellow colour grading in chinese dramas everytime they show an undeveloped country, is something that I guess is going to be there forever. Also didn't they did the CT scan for FL when she hurt her head trying to save the himself, how come they didn't noticed anything wrong with FL's body. Like isn't the ML genuis, he should have caught something.
Why is it so difficult for celebs to love , date and marry? Especially in China ,it's so difficult to even see…
It's not just China but South Korea as well. The netizens gets so toxic and possesive over their favourite idol/actor that they are willing to ruin and ban the actor's significant partner. And even if the couple manages to survive, if by chance they decide to break up, the consequences are even worst. It all about pleasing fan or it could cause them their entire career's downfall.
So there are two ending- In one, she decides to stay in the game, since she didn't submitted the entire amount in the box. In other, she returns and discovers that ML was another player/employee at the company. But I really which there was something more it. At the beginning, from the phone call we saw that FL didn't had good relation with her mother, what happened to that? What did FL do from the experience she gained from the show? She became so successful in the game, what about her real life? They gave every character a proper ending and good screen time but somehow the main leads together only recieved barely 2 minutes together. If only drama had dedicated an entire last episode on the leads, the drama would have become way better.
did the plot change?I don't know if I just imagined it or something, but I remember the plot involves something…
From what I remember, the FL misunderstand that ML is her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend's uncle (I think because of similar surname) and plans to make him fall in love with her, to take the revenge on her ex-boyfriend. Also the ML is some famous personality and she wants to interview him, so there's an office romance type situation as well. But I think from the synopsis, the plot would be pretty much same.
I can't deal with the family setting. All they did in the these six episodes was gaslighting, manipulating, blaming the weak and having double standards. I really hope that FL separates her family from this toxic environment even if it means leaving behind her pathetic father, who didn't even bothered standing up against his parents when his daughter and wife were on the verge of dying. Honestly I have a feeling that the storyline would try to give all of them a redemption arc but that's the last thing I want. With all their wrong doings, they don't necessarily deserve that.
