Baijue at first denied to train shanggu and instead said that maybe it is her destiny to born with blocked god vessel and he himself will fight if god's tribulation ever happen....thinking of it now I feel Baijue was right back then but Zhiyang and tianqi changed his thinking or perceptive. And ofcourse after all the trouble, by the end of the day baijue did what he intended to do at the first place. He fought and sacrificed himself in god's tribulation.
