They’re making her seem like something she’s not.
We wouldn’t have a problem,if her character had more depth. But it’s like,even when TLC,Chi Yun & Shen L are discussing things,she HAS to be there,why tho? She’s just there and when the camera pans to her,she has no emotion 😶.
Why jump in the lake? I’m sorry but that pissed me off to the point that,I didn’t even watch some episodes and jumped straight to ep 18 and then today’s episode 19.
It’s like they just put her there to pass censorship.
That ‘she’s interesting’, ‘she’s secretive’ type of excuses others give makes me chuckle cos ain’t no damn thing interesting nor secretive about her 🥴
More reason why I’ll forever hold Mysterious lotus casebook to a higher standard.

That’s exactly the problem I have with this character. I don’t hate the actress or anything,it’s just the character is just “there” and has basically become a blood bank for TLC,without it there’s no purpose with her. If they had made her character a bit more interesting,we wouldn’t complain at all.

Apparently, it’s a huge crime if you don’t like ashui. Those who complain about her just voice their thoughts and why she doesn’t need to be in every single frame,jumping in to “save” a whole fucking OP being, sits in a conversation that has nothing to do with her like as if she’s going to fight or do some Bruce Lee moves on the villains.
When we complain,it’s a problem,you’ll see those who like her under those who don’t,arguing with them. But you’ll never catch those who don’t like her under the comments on those who like her.
I’ve seen people complain about her character on social media,it’s putting people off and I understand it.
So,if someone is frustrated with her character,just let them do that without trying to argue or gaslight them. We don’t complain about XFT,zhong chunji or miss hong. It’s because they’re doing a badass job with their characters instead of giving us the same lifeless facial expression. People cant sympathize and be compassionate with her for a reason. If she doesn’t have anything useful to do,she shouldn’t hog all the screen time and let the others shine too.

Also,I think FZ chose TLC because he saw good in him,despite his connection or similarities with YYY,but that didn’t stop FZ from taking him home,caring for him and even letting him stay and become his little brother and disciple.
Maybe zhumei wasn’t interested in being the successor but yeah FZ had his reasons for choosing TLC instead of the other 2

A-Yan is far gone,so no redemption for him. I had to side eye him even after he learnt the truth,he still wanted to kill A-Li.
Honestly A-Yan lowkey killed Fang zhou,cos TLC was almost successful in curing FZ back then,but LY disrupted it and there was backlash.

I think back then,LY was very tame and more into his medicine. He was mischievous & a prankster but pretty good cos FZ was around. Now that the anchor that holds all 3 brothers is gone,one has vanished,one has become a monster,whiles the other is self sacrificing to bring their anchor back.

I also fear,Gui Mudan has influenced him.

It’s because he was spoiled a lot back in Zhou Di Lou. He basically got his way and away with everything 🤣🤣. Even when TLC destroyed LY’s cursed bug altar,he wasn’t punished…FZ actually helped him fix the wooden figure TLC had made as a gift for him(Fang Zhou) & told TLC to go apologize to LY,he’ll forgive him 🤣🤣.

I think he also told LY where FZ’s body is. I wish he hadn’t said that cos now,LY can take FZ’s body and hide it somewhere or worse case scenario.
Gui Mudan uses FZ’s body as a trap to lure TLC.

Lol,especially Fang Zhou, he has an obsession with bringing him back and even the mention of his name changes his mood.

Imagine being such a spoiled brat,that the minute you hear no from your favorite person, you start throwing tantrums & smashing things 😩. Yeah,Tang Li Ci,I’m looking at you 😏.

No. But you’re free to ship him with whoever you want,he has chemistry with a lot of people(mainly the male characters,his sect brothers & even some of the female villains)
