Indifferent prince x adorable supportive bottom

*happy ending*

What I liked about this:
Sang ha. Only Sang ha. He is such an adorable cutie. He is also very upfront about his feelings. I love how confident he is amidst his problems. Such a bundle of joy!

What I didnt like:
The debt part is such a weird addition. I was surprised when Sang ha just started to lay on his life to Jinwon when they've just known each other and it felt like he was needing a pity party. It was also weird how Jinwon keeps pushing his ideals even though Sang ha already told him his situation. For instance, he keeps telling Sang ha to buy new shoes as his current is not fit for running but he was already told that Sang ha is in debt and is an orphan. Talk about a weird plot.

What could've made it better:
I think, Sangha and Jinwon need a few more episodes to bud their love, especially Jin won's. I think he does not care much for Sang ha and he is sooo indifferent. I liked the running sports plot so I hoped they'd focused on that.

A good kind of cringe

For those who are wondering, this is a *happy ending*

First, about the things I like in this series:
- I rewatched this to put on reviews as I watched it when it came out and at that time, I loved Tossara more than the other two parts. And now I remember why. One thing is that there is no stressful situations just two people learning to love each other. A good kind of cringe because they are so honest with their feelings that it is too sweet.
- Second, I love the ost. I keep singing Baishasha baishasha even though I dont understand what it meant. It's just really catchy.
- Third. I really love a mature bottom. Typically older bottoms tend to be the one who is spoiled or childlike. However here, Bar is very mature. He really wanted Gun and him to have successful lives and still be in love. I really love how straightforward he is about his feelings in the later episodes.
- Lastly, I love Gun's deep voice in his dubs.

Next, onto things I didnt like:
- First, he keeps denying Gun's feelings just because he says that he(Bar) is a man. I really didnt like this kind of trope. Nowadays gender is not a reason to not like someone. However, in the later eps I liked how he went on a different tune to - - 'I'm a man too so I can take care of you too'.
-I didnt like the peer pressure in this series. The friends keep on teasing him and pushing him to give in to Gun that Bar's changing of feelings is not apparent. Instead, it looked like he fell for Gun because he was teased A lot.
- There is a discussion of consent within the series but Bar's friends didnt seem to do that all throughout the series. They seem really invasive and prying.
- Most of the time they're on the phone. Even the sweet moments revolves around social media. Made it seem less intimate for me.

All in all, if you wanted a lighthearted and sweet short series, this is for you. I assure you will keep smiling and laughing all throughout because of the sweetness.

For something so progressive, they lack something

*happy ending for one couple*

I started watching this last year, 2022 and put it on hold because of how weird the issues kept popping up that I felt always bad for Fiat. But finally, I finished it and it felt watching it better now than last year.

When this was released it became so known because it is almost the start of very hot and steamy NC scenes in BL industry. It's like Mame tested waters in Tharntype and this became it's progression. However, amidst its well known name for its NC scenes, JaFirst in this series is soooo lackluster in their NC. Maybe because I finished watching it after already watching the current latest BLs who are already so realistic in their love scenes, but I can really see how they peck kiss even in the most hottest moments and hide their face and lips away using camera angles. Most of the time it just looks like Ja is smelling First's neck.

Even though there are a lot of love scenes in this series, it just irks me how lackluster it was. The execution is most of the time really bad.

I know this is the first main couple series of JaFirst and they have come a long way now. I saw that their acting is ahead of its time then. Especially First. Ja on the other hand is sooo damn handsome. His character is written such a green light as well. Though a bit possessive, it works well with Fiat's personality.

Dont get me started with Aek. He is the best I tell you. Handsome, smart, and I love how cool he is in this series. I love his every scene. The twins are one of the best castings here and also An too. Sooo pretty.

LeonPob have such a good story and chemistry that all fans, including me, are still thirsty for Just Say Yes. It has been a long time and I hope Mame produces it already. LeonPob's kisses are 100 times better than LeoFiat's really.

For the story, I sorta liked all conflicts so far except the sleeping with the afro guy conflict. He looks weird to me. I guess they did great in casting someone creepy. Fiat's mom is also so damn scary. Instead of a restraining order, I just hoped Fiat's dad hleped her get therapy as soon as possible before. Same with Fiat. Not getting him a new mom.

Overall, you can see that this series is ahead of its time but also lacking in great execution.

I feel a bit unsatisfied?

*happy ending for two couples*

Dont get me wrong. The acting was superb. Especially Gun my gosh. I think this series showcased his acting really well. It made me even think that Black is really another actor. I completed watching this just because I really loved Gun's acting in this one.

The ost? The best. I thought I will never find a more better ost than never let me go, but my boy. This got the best. They also incorporated some songs I also heard in never let me go. Save the spotify playlist. Def recommend.

The story is 10 out of 10 as well. The conflict the suspense, the cinematography, everything is the best.

However down to the last episodes, I had to skip some scenes? I dont know why it became boring in the latter episodes even though the romance and the action is in the last parts.

I think OffGun's off screen chemistry is not much shown in the series unlike TOL. Maybe because this series focuses more on the plot of fighting for what is right. Rather than the romance part. It became so not focused that I dont mind leaving the romance between OffGun. Heck, I felt more on screen chemistry with YokDan.

Another reason I think that I am unsatisfied with is becauseI didnt see or realized when Sean fell in love with White. I felt how conscious White is to Sean but not the other way around. There are some moments but I didnt feel that it was tense in a romantic way. Next thing I know he already kissed White.

I just felt overall that the romance and the plot is unbalanced in a way. I just hoped the build up is introduced all throughout the series and not just the almost last part.

Overall, this is one of the best series out there in terms of plot and execution. Must watch but know that the romance is not much the focus of this series.

Unnecessary mating horse

*happy ending*

I love the food bl genre, don't get me wrong. But, this is still not IT. The only good thing i liked in this series is the handsome casting and the cooking.

But the actors cannot act in love really. The intern looked much in love then the main characters, that they are better off acting in a bromance series rather than a bl.

This serie also tried to put too many plot points in a short series. A mating horse (the ex and intern) is unnecessary to add in the plotline, as the main couple's struggle in work and life is enough as a conflict really. I really wished they focused more on that. Especially since dohoon is overworked and yon soo is still getting the hang of owning a restaurant. As shown in episode 6.

Dont get me started with the kiss. I don't mind pecks, bit i can see how one sided the kiss is in this serie and it is making me cringe. The falling action is also sooo mediocre that i had to skip scenes in episode 7 and 8.

I love lee jo woon's cameo, but i think his character is unnecessary too.
I wish the build up on their romance was more focused on as well. Sigh.

To all readers, this is still a recommended watch, i think.

Why did they only filmed the budding part?

*happy ending*

Okay, I have read the manhwa and I love how they almost followed it to a T, but korean bls only last 8 episodes or so. It is a bit sad that they only filmed the part where their love is still budding.

The acotrs really played their characters well, but I see no chemistry to the two of them. I love Yechan's actor so much but I dont see the love in Yul's character's eyes. They felt like a older brother and a cute lil brother type of story that it felt a bit disappointing.

Ye chan's actor is the best in the series. So few can pull off that cute facade with a huge build like that and I have seen the BTS of these series and he really is cute in reality. I also really love his mom and village head Ma. They are the best actors in the series. Hoping to see more of them in other series as well. They acted soo naturally that I felt that they were almost true to life characters, which I really love in this series.

I guess we wont have a season 2 of this because the storyline botched Insuh's portrayal in the series. Made him be like someone bitchy, even though he is one of the integral parts of the next arcs.

This no doubt is one of the best korean BLs so far and also one of the best live actions I have watched.

It's better because it is only 7 episodes

*happy ending for both couples*

Firstly, i liked the flow of the story. Mame does not disappoint in this regard. The NC scenes and plotline flowed naturally for a 7-episode series. However, I think the NC scenes are too thirsty? They are sooo rushed that I felt they are more lusty than in love.
The actors' acting also needs improvement. I felt throughout the series that they only have one to two expressions. A weird smile and a talkative persona as if the script is memorized.

Liked how the plan went smoothly as it does not sit well with me if they continued with the marry plot thing. I just think that it was necessary as there really are some parents who needs those heavy measures to help finally understand their children.

This is a cute series, but definitely not one of Mame's best. Still, better than tharntype though. Hoping to hear more on the main couple and see more improvement from them.

The great casting was ruined by a confusing writing

For those wondering, this serie has a *happy ending* for all three couples.

First of all, don't get me wrong, I like this series. Maybe because the last episode really redeemed the whole story, but also the casting carried the entire series.

Overall impression I had while watching is that this serie is so damn funny without needing to. The cliches they did as something serious just made me laugh out loud. I feel somewhat embarrassed for them. Hahaha

However, most parts of the story is very very confusing. For instance, if you watch, Ai's attitude in ep 7 was soo weird for me. He just got mad without reason. And while watching, I kept shouting "explain, explain the damn reason" but he didn't. All throughout the series, I exclaimed "why". Why did that happen? Why what's wrong with him? Etc. The writing of the story didnt made sense which is kind of sad as there are points in the whole series that they could've focused on and made the series a bit more unique than the rest.

For instance, I liked the startup plot. Though a bit technical, I felt that it was a good kind of plot. I am still laughing at those face mask design and the "stark enterprise" 😂🤣😂🤣

I also liked the dorm division plot. Though the way they did the examination was a bit weird for me.

Now, the casting.
Okay, I know I said that the casting carried the plot, but take this with a grain of salt. They did not act as if they had 10 years experience off their back, but they did acted in love. Though it was ruined horribly by the writing. Urgh. One example is that, they had this fabulous BrightMeen couple with a lot of hidden angst all over the years, and they just shortened their story with an abrupt kissing. Like wth.

The actors are very very handsome. There was one episode, I think it was ep 6, where Songkhram looked a lot like Cha Eun Woo. My gosh. Ai also looked like a love child of My tooth your love. And Meen, my meen is soo damn cute. He looks like Saint's little brother.

Lastly, what I mean when the last episode redeemed the whole series is because this series has one of the best realistic portrayals of love making and it is at episode 10 folks. My gosh they had a full blown 10 minutes. I think. I was lost in awe. This NC scenes is now written to my top 10, together with Love in the Air, Ghost house Ghost host, The warp effect and others.

In conclusion, there is something to love in this series but it was ruined by the horrible writing. Though don't let it stop you from watching this. It may not be a masterpiece, but it will be a tad bit memorable. I hope hope hope that the give the SongkhranAi and BrightMeen casts a better story to act in. Such a waste of explosive compatibility.

I like it even though there are a lot of things I didn't like about it.

For those wondering, this series has a *happy ending*

I think that this may be one of the best korean BLs of the year BUT,
compared to other BLs, this is a bit confusing for me. I felt like there are episodes that are cut in a weird way that made the story not flow so well. It sometimes made me feel like I was watching a compilation of clips rather than a series. For instance, there is a moment where they don't talk and then they just met on subway like that without any clear explanation (did he follow him?).

Another thing is that, I also felt a bit confused about Jae Won's character acting. There is a moment where he kisses so deep and there are times when he kisses like a plucking chicken. He also became a bit awkward after they got together. He says he doesn't mind what others say but he is also not as clingy as before. I felt like he got so much relaxed about getting together with Ji Hyun, in a romantic sense.

Lastly, I also didn't like how they just brushed of Eun Ji's and Tae Hyung's very very horrible attitude with a sorry. Heck, Eun Ji didn't even said sorry. Ji Hyun did, and that was very aggravating. I hope they recieved some kind of moment for character development where they really repented from what they've done 'cause everybody else had some kind of adulting change, and they didn' t. It was so frustrating. I also didn't understand that stepping back-stepping up game at the end. Hahaha.

HOWEVER, what made me like this series a lot is the cinematography. I felt like I was watching Blueming with a hint of that american BL feel. The colors and the first NC scene is so well directed.

Also even though the opening is a bit weird for me, as it felt like I was watching an opening of Baywatch, and there is even that weird guy holding a surf board, it grew on me. At the end of the series, I felt that it was not that bad.

I also like Mira and Ae ri very very much. They are on my top tier list of best female characters for BL series. They are just so true, sweet, and caring throughout the series that I would love to hug them and hang out with them very much. Don't forget about Jun Pyo as well. Though I felt like his role as a very great bestfriend was a bit brushed of by the story. I hoped they have shown that as well.

I really like these characters so much that it made the tenth episode great when Mira finally got what she wanted. It had me in tears. Because she really really deserved it.

Lastly, even though there is no closure about Jae Won's trauma, family and mental sickness, I liked it more with that. Because I think that there is no need to hurry to 'heal' and just slowly getting better is enough, which the end of the series really showed that. I also loved how they showcased mental illness in this story and how there is nothing wrong with seeking help. Though I also felt that the therapist became a bit unprofessional with her tone at the end.

Overall, I think this is a series that could've been better with a more smooth transition of events like those of Semantic Error or Dating Sim. Sadly, it isn't. So it may be a very good watch, and I like it, but this is not one of those that I might rewatch again. It is a feel good BL though so I recommend others to watch it.

Is it too short or just enough?

*happy ending*

Just like other reviews, I might say that this is one of the best BLs out there. I really love the focus on just one couple. And the angst of unrequited love felt like I was watching Sekaiichi Hatsukoi but with a more proactive protagonist. Ki Tae really went all out for Wan and I'm loving it so much.

The drama at ep 7 was chef's kiss. Though I wanted this to be longer, I also felt that the pacing and the length was just enough to keep my toes curled for excitement and not get bored of the series.

Is it just me, but game program k-bls really hit hard for me. Just like with Semantic error.

This series is just so nostalgic, feel-good, sweet and heartwarming without the excessive nc scenes. Definitely a must watch!

Their own take of the manga

*happy ending*

This manga is one of my most favorites to reread of all time, that is why it took me a long time to finish it. There were some points in the series that did not match the manga, so I suggest manga readers to not re-read or read the manga before watching this.

Differences:
- first of all, kaburagi here is a bit different from the manga. There, I saw kaburagi as a sleepy, perverted man who only sees onoe in his eyes. In the series, I did not see much of the similarity with his live action counterpart. (he is very handsome though)
- the bits and pieces of the manga are rearranged to fit it in 8 episodes. So, as a manga reader, it became a bit weird for me, but still flowed naturally to the end.

What I loved:
- Onoe. He is soooo similar to the manga character he is portraying that I loved the great casting so much. He is very adorable just like his character. I really love the way he melts in Kaburagi's embrace everytime.
- other casted characters. Everyone is perfectly casted. Down to their lines, actions, mannerisms, even their looks perfectly fit their manga counterparts.
- this is one of the best Y manga adaptation I have ever seen. and I am very thankful that they didn't use the white background japanese bls always use when having NC scenes.

To everyone, this is highly recommended to watch. Also, to read. Just keep in mind that this is based on an old manga that is still being serialized right now, so to people of today, they might see some topics as a big nono. But this is very cute, I promise. Well directed as well.

One of the best intimate BLs

*happy ending for both couples*

The story for me is kinda mediocre. However, it is carried by great expressive actors which I like. Mame, the writer/author, really has that theme of over-violence in her story which sometimes is too forced? I think the adding of kidnapping in PayuRain's case is just to add a kind of conflict to the already happy couple, but it made it quite awkward for me.

Prapai/Sky's story on the other hand (Sky's traumatic past), made the story flow with more sense. However, I felt that the quality of the production in their part of the season became more subpar than RainPayu one. Which I kinda felt sad about because the second story makes more sense to me.

I like the NC scenes though in the first one. They really feel so in love and there is no awkwardness, which for me is still quite rare in the industry. That kind of sexual compatibility.

Overall, I think the series is okay. Much kinda like Cutie Pie the series for me. Something I will rewatch in passing, but not because I love it overall. I still recommend readers to watch it though.

An introvert's love story.

For those who are wondering, this series has a *happy ending*

Plot/Storyline/Pacing:
I like the plot of this series. It is simple but quite overused. Sometimes cliche is good to watch as pastime and that is what I would describe this series. The storyline kept reminding me of 2moons2. Add to that that Joong is the main character. So, if you are planning on watching, think of 2moons2 but rushed. Also, for me, the pacing is a bit messy. The first few episodes (episodes where they are still not together) paced quite well, and then 3/4 of the episode later, they are resolved! I feel like the angst I felt in the last few episodes are waived away by an IG post and it made the story rushed and incomplete. I did not like that quick transition.

Chemistry:
Unpopular opinion: Joongdunk did quite well in their acting.... when they were not together. I do not know what went wrong, but when the characters finally resolved the issue and got together, the chemistry vanished. I did not felt longing and love with Dunk's acting especially when his character finally got together with Kluen. And for someone who has an unrequited love I did not feel 'love' for most of his scenes. He is cute though. When Kluen and Daonuea got together, for me they act more like friends than when they weren't together. That is just what I felt in the last episodes (ep7-8).

What I like in this series:
The friends in this series is *chef's kiss*. Shout out to Sean and Noel ❤️ the best friends in the series. They are all supportive, helpful, and funny, active listeners. A lot of comments mentioned that if they were not there, KluenDao will not be together and I agree with that. Fah is also a great older brother. Handsome too. I also love the little details in the series to show who loves who and how they show how they love each other in their own way. Another thing I liked is the improvement in Joong's acting. His eyes are very expressive that he can have a scene with no script and still deliver it well.

What I didn't like:
The miscommunication and misunderstandings that are stretched too much and formed the 'plot.' I admit the plot is simple, and this is a series with little to no drama so the conflict should be simple as well. But! It is very frustrating how Kluen doesn't straighten the story or correct misunderstandings. This then stretches the angst unnecessarily in the series which I did not like. I also didn't like how shallow the misunderstandings are resolved. Freaking IG post? I would have liked the parking scene to be longer and have that reconciliation scene there, or maybe something more dramatic to equal the scene in episode 6.

Overall, this series is simple, short, and a bit bittersweet. I quite like it but it is not something I would rewatch once again. Though it is something I recommend you to watch atleast once!

Had a good start and somehow went downhill?

For those who are wondering, this short serie has a *happy ending*

Okay, I love the premise. I love how it is about cooking and rivalry and they are both handsome actors. However, they are only great at acting angry. At the start, it was great. It was as if I was watching a vlog of a budding couple, but I think the actors are too subpar when it comes to romance acting. They don't look in love enough especially at the kiss scene. That was one of the most dead fish kiss I have ever seen. They are better off fighting and bickering more.

Next, I hoped they left Laura and her restaurant. She is just too selfish and ungrateful. I hoped Jung Woo also left her. There are some choices of Jung woo that made me question if he really liked Do Gun.

Do gun on the other hand, fell hard for Jung woo. I hoped he had kept that tsundere feel more. But I am glad that he became independent. He is too good for that restaurant.

All in all, this show had a sweet premise but ended up acting like just friends. Which killed my enthusiasm to watch. They dont look in love enough and I think that is important when acting on a romance series like this one. Still, if you want to watch a relaxing show without heavy conflict, this is for you.

I love every second of it.

For those who are wondering, this story is a *happy ending*

It's like the ITSAY of Japan, but this time, there are no deep conflicts. There are no conflicts about being both men, or that it is embarrassing, etc. Just plain love, and making sure of cherishing each other everyday.

I love that there is no major conflict to the story. Just two people discovering how to take care and express their love for each other. It is sweet in a sense that there is clear communication with each other and expression of their feelings.

One thing that I mind though is that it is short. It is just 4 episodes. However, the story concluded it well. I just hoped that their future lives are discussed more and their relationship defined more. Also a conclusion of the school festival. I would love them to have more time with each other.

I think the overall theme of this series is just plain love. Just love. Whether its the side couples and the main, they just showcase plain and simple love, and I love every second of it.
