Did you watch Not Me? He played the bad boy. Suited him well.
I really fell for First in Not Me. I would call him a bad boy though - he seemed to be a sensitive artist and lover, and they were all fighting against social injustice. As an actor he’s so versatile - all big shoulders and sweaty in Not Me, the unsmiling and elegantly dressed Alan - and heartbreaking with it - and the conscientious, closeted schoolboy in Eclipse, until Aye manages to bring out the loving and sunny side of his nature. And in real life he is so different again to all these characters.

Sorry for the book...First, cochlear implants won't always give a deaf person clear hearing, it depends on the…
Thanks, that’s really interesting. I taught severely and profoundly deaf children for many years, but retired some time ago, and cochlear implants were fairly new then. But I have heard that they are particularly beneficial for people who have grown up with normal hearing and speech. (I know of course that they only give the full range of sound.)

Still, of course this just a story, though that’s sometimes hard to remember in a series that seems as real as this one is!

Why is nobody saying about Heart, “This boy should be speaking.”? If he lost his hearing 3 years ago he should still have reasonable speech. If it is psychological from the shock of suddenly going deaf, he should be having psychotherapy and speech therapy, and be considered for a cochlear implant to give him back some useful hearing. Not just shut him away from the world…

True. But unfortunately we can’t choose to get rid of them!

This keeps popping up in the feeds and people are loving it. So I decided to give it a go, but I really do not…
Does anyone actually LIKE the sound effects? Why do they use them? When I started watching BLs they were nearly enough to put me off the whole genre… but luckily I persevered and just try to ignore them.

Glad to read some more positive comments after a spate of damning ones! It’s not quite as good as I thought it was going to be at from the start, but I’m still enjoying it a lot. I like the chemistry between them, and love the character of Pond (and his body).
It’s a bit difficult to believe that these two well-developed men are high school boys though!

Am I the stupidest person in the BL world? I have watched every episode including 11.1 and 11.2, and I really don’t know how the situations have been resolved. What happened about Dew being shot dead? Are they happy ever after in one universe but not the other? I give up!

Gemini seems very fluent in sign language - impressive. I wonder why Heart is unable to speak at all if he lost his hearing comparatively recently. Perhaps it’s psychological, from the shock.

Better only 8 episodes. There are so many great series that run out of ideas and get boring.
I agree - some good series are dragged out to make up the episodes and lose momentum.

After 8 episodes... I can honestly say I have no idea what's going on in this show lol.
Glad it’s not just me!

I like Kuea a lot more in this series - he’s so much livelier, and more attractive. But there’s something strange about Zee’s face… is it that there’s a filter on it? Or is he using Botox? And the whole cast are all wearing so much make-up, much more obviously than in most series.

Their faces have been smoothed so much, they look like CGI characters.

Ummm..still not feeling it Hia act like a father
Although it’s good to see Kuea now being his adult self, there’s still something slightly unwholesome about his and Lian’s relationship. I don’t mean the love-making - that’s quite well done - but it’s their whole interaction that makes me feel uneasy. Think I won’t persevere.

I think they hinted that with each time they come it will be easier, so chances are the wait will get shorter…
Yes, I think I like that idea! I’m happy with that.

I didn’t expect much of this series and just started watching it for some lightweight entertainment, but it just gradually crept under my skin - so touching and sweet.

I agree with others that Ohm’s acting is much more natural and less stiff here than in UWMA. And good to see Fluke in a more adult role too. Still not sure about the story though - we’ll see.

No, definitely not a favourite. Some nice moments and good acting, but nothing very much happened except a LOT of crying. Ok, I cried too when Earth’s mother died, but goodness wasn’t it milked for every teardrop.
I’d really like to see Earth offered a more adult role - he definitely has the ability, but it’s starting to get a little creepy seeing a 26 year old playing a teenager.
