I like Love and Redemption more simply because the characters there (including the main leads) have way more depth to them and the entire story is consistently good. In fact it made me cry the more I watched it. Ashes of love started out great and even had the potential of becoming my favourite drama like LaR but the story sidetracked and focused way too much on the other characters. Not to mention the fl was so selfish, she led on both the ml and his brother (2nd ml) which annoyed me so much! The only interesting character in AoL was Runyu (2nd ml)

this started off great but the focus shifted from the main leads' story to the 2nd ml and villain's story. i wish we got more of the main leads😔
