I guess maybe I liked it because of him. I was new to Cdrama industry and my first drama was falling into ur smile and second was douluo continent. Those days i didnt have a typical fav. But I was amazed by xiao zhans visuals that got me into the drama and he became my first fav chinese actor. So I would say he is an actor who is able to carry the drama eventhough the scripts are not gd. Maybe since im new to the industry those days i didn't find the drama boring but it was fun and i love it.

You should rewatch douluo continent as well. It’s very interesting. That’s my first drama of Xiao zhan where I became a fan of him.
