As far as I know both zhu ye and yue hong arcs are female centered. I think thats why the role is offered to senior and high class actress. But this one is different. Wang quan arc mainly focus on Wangquan Fugui. So this has a male centered plot. In here the Fl is a mere spider spirit I don't think Liu yifei will go with this. But if the plot is balanced for the the ML and the FL there might be a chance. In my personal opinion I think without an old actress a young actress who has a mature look and popular would be better for this role. Like Bai lu, Zhao lusi, Esther yu, Wang churan, Ju jingyi. But its just my personal opinion. For the main lead there were so many rumors like Cheng yi, wang hedi etc.

Out of curiosity I read the novel and both of them suits the role very well. I’ll make it short. The story is about Shi Yan the CEO of the mingyu bank and Zheng shuyi a reporter of the Financial Weekly( more like a journalist). Zheng shuyi was cheated by her ex bf. The reason is the ex bf believed that the other women’s uncle was rich who was the owner of a Rolls-Royce phantom. So Zheng shuyi wanted to take her-revenge from him by pursuing the others womens uncle ( who she believed was Shi Yan). But unfortunately she pursue the wrong person( the other women’s uncle wasn’t Shi Yan but his driver). This is how the story goes. I rlly loved the novel so much and I think dylan and bai lu will be great on this. The one thing I don’t like in this is Shi Yans glasses. According to the novel he always wear them. I hope it changes in the drama. Dylan is still young this will make him look old. But that’s just my opinion no offense. I don’t care anything I’ll just watch it as long as these two are in the drama.
