mixed feelings ...
I get why everyone hates this movie , they have one thing in common which is having read the webtoon .I get it , it's not as good as the webtoon .
the webtoon is way better .
before watching and after they announced the cast I have never thought ahn hyo seop was going to be a good kim dokja but I was wrong he fits the role very well along with Nana , seung ho and soo bin .
what I didn't like was jisoo as jihye and the drastic change they made to her charater, I mean a sniper instead of a sword?!!!! the ones who have read the webtoon will know it's a huge change the charater as in the webtoon she had physical strength and agility and very well close combat skills , that didn't work for me .
lee jung hyuk what can I say , really disappointed , the character we were all wating to see , lee minho is not a bad jung hyuk but he was expressionless the whole movie , in the webtoon jung hyuk didn't show much emotion either but in some occasion she did show emotion , i dont know but it didn't work for me.
the bridge scene which i was really waiting for , CGI was good at one moment and bad at the other .
overall I really appreciate the hardwork and effort they put in the movie and considering the limitation they had as webtoon has a lot of scenes that are hard to bring them to life the exact way but that doesn't help my disappointment π
maybe if you haven't read the webtoon you will this movie interesting .

Truly a MASTERPIECE β¨οΈ
I mean where do I start , great acting , great chemistry between leads even other couples were great , great plot .from the start to finish everything was great although for me in the middle it dragged little bit , but the ending was great and a big plot twist .
I mean I suspected the emperor had to do something with all the deaths at the end but never understood why would he kill his own sons , turned out to be an imposter π
everyone got their happy ending, that's what was great about the ending .
loved that this drama was fast paced and ML was smart enough to know that she was shen Wan not Qin Wan, I would have hated to see you betrayed my trust arc .
so sad that it had to end π©

A masterpiece β¨οΈ
where do I start , I loved everything about casting , acting , music it was great .loved that we didn't get the dimsel in distress type FL.
loved ML being considerate and not trying to clip FL wings .
loved their mature relationship and the trust they had for each other.
I really wished for a happy ending but the ending they gave us was so bitter yet justified they fought for peace and died for it , what other greater cause could they have died for ?
but I am devastated π©π
either way this is a masterpiece and deserves to give it a go .

what a journey ....
a superb fantasy drama with a lot of plot twists and intriguing characters , at first it was very confusing with same actor playing multiple characters but it will be clear in the end .great story, acting , cinematography and music yet the unequal screen time between main leads for me affected the story somehow , I mean it would quite difficult to give 4 leads equal screen time and it will end being focused on one couple more than the other .
wu shuguang's story felt rushed for me , I mean we didn't get see wu wuyuan and his love story as ji ling and lu wuyi's love story and even after becoming a dragon he was still quite weak and still needed ji ling's help, it felt like although wu shuguang has the dragon's power ji ling is still the true dragon deity , wu shuguang at sometimes felt like a supporting character rather than a main lead .
ji ling and lu wuyi 's story was great on many aspects , glad they got a happy ending .
you chi was quite funny throughout the drama, glad they gave his character some depth in the end and he got his happy ending and love interest " mu long ".
even the great 4 demons had great stories of their own which was great .
considering this is a GJM drama , I watched this with my hand over my heart thinking how would he make it a sad ending yet it was a happy one .
overall great fantasy drama on many aspects .

A remarkable turnaround ...
so I have watched couple of episodes from the animated series and wished they will do a live action version , yet when i watched the first episodes I couldn't bring myself to keep watching , still I gave it a chance and glad I did .In the beginning you think it is gonna be a bunch of funny scenes without an actual plot but it get a great turnaround after xu yao's death, you begin to see that isn't gonna be as written in the book and as yu wayin predictions.
this was great on so many levels music , costumes , acting yet I can't tell if the actor who did prince duan did a great job or not like he is a villian to forget , not a strong antagonist for me , he did some bad deeds but the whole series he was only plotting and whenever he tried to carry out his plan it failed and it wasn't even due to wanyin's knowledge of the book because everything deviated from the book , it was like Dan was always one step ahead , yet actor did a really go job in making me hate his character .
xie yong er 's death was so rushed like she dead and they gave her a 2 or 3 minutes and that is it and it wasn't mentioned again except briefly , I wished she and cuihua would have met in the real world .
I hoped they would give zhang san and cuihua more screen time when they returned to the real world.
empress dowager kept saying she hated Dan's father , we later found she was from Qiang, wished we got more background on that like how she ended in Xia was a marriage alliance , a hostage ??
when it came to dramatic scenes this series delivered , was it perfect NO but nonetheless it was great and deserves to give it a go.

started strong ,ended somewhat disappointing
from the get go like 1st 2 episodes you get a little bit drawn to keep watching then from ep 3 to ep 14 it kept going strong and we kept looking forward to the ending but I think ep 15 and 16 (especially 16 ) ruined it all for me I mean where do I startfirst yeom jang sun I think it was somewhat a fitting ending for him , all he care about is money and power and In the end he lost both.
dongju really deserved to be happy after all he went through , yet after fulfilling his revenge he didn't have his happy ending , he left it all behind .
taeyun's mother deserved what happened I mean after all she caused , she lost it all
taeyun didn't deserve this ending , he and eunnam were the innocent ones in that family .
seonu and his mother one of the worst character developments I have ever seen in along time I, how did they change from the staying away from daesan and not wanting any thing to do with it to cooperating with yeom jang sun and killing taeyun .
a very disappointing ending π the title truly fits "buried hearts".

Heartwarming , funny but a bit lacking...
a strong start that became flat till the endin the first 2 episodes we see tae pong the playboy who is all about partying and wearing fashionable expensive clothes, however he has his own project which he wants to show his father to make him proud , yet he never get the chance as his father dies .
so here what went wrong for me
*The protagonist hyun jun and his father Mr pyo were way too weak for me hyun jun was just the spoiled brat who wanted his father's recognition, maybe Mr pyo was a stronger protagonist but didn't get enough screen time for some reason .
*The whole series we kept going in circles , It was a loop of tae poong making a deal and hyun jun sabotaging it then tae poong begging or making a deal with hyun jun father it kept repeating again and again till it became annoying .
the plot was rushed at many points in the series , even the romance wasn't focused on , it didn't focus on anything actually.

you reap what you sow...
this drama is a perfect example of you reap what you sow , everyone got the ending they deserve for what they have done except that masked guy.kim guy ho deserve death penalty for what he has done , he didn't deserve to be protected by the police and innocent people got injuired or killed trying to protect him till the very end he remained ruthless and a monster , I can't believe that he did that to the detectives daughter while he was supposedly on the run doesn't make sense to me .
the greedy opportunistic lawyer got what he deserved , the assassin aka Mr smile , I don't get how he is still alive after all those bullets π .
this drama should have focused on the main plot line involving that lawyer and politics in this drama was unessecary , they have showed as more of the fake priests story , who was the man in the mask? i guess the fake priest but not sure' , the should have showed us how he got all that money for the bounties , where did he go after all of what happened ? and who was the client that hired Mr smile to kill the man in the mask ? alor of unanswered questions , I don't if this is getting a second or not so it is open ending it guess .
great plot with alot of potential that was somewhat poorly executed in ep 3 I really thought I was watching a different drama , not starting from where we left off in the previous episodes and showing entirely new character was a bit confusing at sometimes.

great plot that was poorly executed ..
this drama had all the ingredients for a successful one yet i dragged midway and gave us a rushed ending.they gave us a strong start with the mystery of chang fort massacre and chang ning's identity that they made you doubt it all the time
after ML identity was discovered the drama dragged for quite a bit for me .
nie zhi what kind of antagonist is that he was defeated so easily yet ML had the chance to kill him yet didn't guess it was to interrogate him about the man in black identity yet ML could have lured him using any other method.
what was ML's mother in all of this, all she kept doing is poisoning ML and finally gets killed off
ML and FL were always on and off , with her saying that he was using her and everything he did was only for his grand plan and her can't be with him because he is the young master of the demon sect.
a great plot twist at the end when it was revealed that FL's master was the man in black , the tables have turned and the demonic sect doesn't seem that bad anymore that was only great thing in the final episodes for me.
glad it was a happy ending π

Was justice really served ??
this drama has a great premise and a strong start yet lost its potential midwayfirst of all , all actors did a great job except for won jin a , I felt she had the same facial expressions throughout the series either she stares intensely or frowns , I didn't like her acting at all .
this drama starts as a dystopian drama set in year 2035 where it is said that poverty has been eradicated in the name of civilization and poor people had nowhere to go except tunnels and abandoned building , it gives the devil judge vibes so you would expected to continue that way but after han yeong gets a second chance it begins to tone it down nevertheless it was full of funny , action and thriller scenes , i really enjoyed watching han yeong making up for what he did in his past life.
that being said here is what what made it lose potential for me :
kang shin jin in the version of 2035 was this mysterious , powerful and merciless character , yet in 2025 version you see him less calculating and trusting han yeong easily till suddenly we see him taking han yeong to suojae and telling him all about his future plans , i didn't get that transition it was a bit rushed like when did shin jin trust han yeong that much and with someone as calculating and untrusting as shinjin he didn't have han yeong watched ??? he didn't know he was cooperating was the prosecution trying to sabotage his plans ? it didn't make sense for me /
sun won " shin jin thug" what made him serve shinjin with loyalty till the very end even after shinjin betrayed him and tried to kill him , what relationship did these two share ??
what kind of justice was kang shinjin talking about? after framing innocent people and killing witnesses just to let the rich ones off the hook , he wanted power so the rich won't get away with what they have done ? he was the one helping them get away in the first place . what kind of argument did this character have?
In the end after you think you know who is good and who is bad you just see another sujae is formed and this time with some new and some old people and we see beak i seok among them , so had he really gone bad?
and a cellphone was passed to kang shin jin so it isn't over yet ?
this was good in some points yet was still lacking .

It ain't over yet
so after 2 seasons you will think what more can they offer for a 3rd season , I started watching this season for the fear of missing out but it was still giving , some episodes we stronger than others ,but if they are thinking to go for a 4th season they shouldn't make it as cases separate from one another , what they did in season 1 and 2 was way better, it was many revenge stories that were all tied to the same villain which was more interesting, that being said this season deserves to give it a chance. Was this review helpful to you?

Was it all for nothing ?
from the start we get a great plot although its progress was a bit slow , nevertheless you some non sense , for a normal human being when he finds a bag full of drug usually you would report it to the police maybe eun soo's decision was driven by seeing her husband's suicide attempt but we things got really she had no problem selling drugs whatsoever I mean she is a normal housewife you would expect to see a little bit of hesitation or fear , yet they had a great explanation for it , we get a flashback of her husband saying that she is bold and have a Braveheart? especially the scene where they stole the drug and took the money from her ,she chased them that made no sense, they seemed like gang member they could've killed her .lee gyeong's story was great wished they focused more on it and his interactions with his family .
the corrupted cop who kept blackmailing them , 10 out 10 acting , it was all the money and taking back what was his although he deserved none of it as there was domestic abuse involved with his wife and that's why she asked for divorce and got all his assests.
lee gyeong's revenge was great , he proved his innocence in the end which was the only good thing about that ending .
the ending was unsatisfying yet realistic , but they never got a happy ending especially lee gyeong after discovering his father signed a non disclosure agreement which meant he knew his son was innocent yet he did for the money , eun soo lost her husband even her daughter which she sold drugs in the first place for , so was it all for nothing ??

not bad as everyone was suggesting
this one is woth watching but along 30 episodes the storyline became boring many times , this series could have been less than 30 episodes and would have been great .ML and FL were well written but somehow I didn't like FL acting that much
wished we could have seen proper revenge for xuan lies parents but I felt it was a little bit rushed
the 2 kings either king of beixuan or king of yannan were getting on my nerves why can't they let the leads be . their characters are poorly written like beixuan's king wanted war just because It was easier than peace for him I don't know what he was thinking, and yannan's king keep threatning qiluo with her family and at the end I don't know what convinced the 2 king to let the leads be together ,like the were suddenly okay with it ( plot hole?????)
qimin was really annoying , his one sided love for qiluo , why can't he let the leads be kept insisting on marry her even though he knew she didn't love him π€
qingkou obsession with qimin was too much for me, maybe It became a little better at the end .

truly one of the hidden gems ....
this drama is so great with an interesting premise , the whole loop day idea is great and the fact that they made it 16 episodes fits the story so well, longer than 16 and i would have dragged .mo yuanzhi (the steve jobs wannabe ) his style during the whole series reminded me of steve jobs , his revenge was justified but at the end he lost his purpose i don't it was about curing wanqing and more , it is like he became obsessed and greedy to takeover moma , he even resorted to very violent methods by killing all of those people which was not justified at all .
An Lan saved us from a sad ending
ding qi was spectacular bai jing ting really did a great job , loved all CIB team members they treat each other like family
wished for more than just 2 cases , didn't like the explanation for how he got his special ability , many questions were left unanswered (how by taking the drug was he able to basically manipulate time on some level , really didn't get it ) and why didn't they explain how some people retain some fragments of their memory from the loop day ?
overall great really deserves your time .

great concept that was a bit lacking...
this drama started off very slow paced for me, at first I didn't like how the FL was very cold "although it is only fitting to her character yet I didn't like it " and how ML was so mysterious and you couldn't tell if he was a good or bad character yet after the episode when she saved him and the made a pact to exchange 5 sense it became better .overall this was a well balanced drama they didn't drag out one arc on the expense of the other yet sometimes the story was rushed , here are some parts of what i am talking about :the love story that was starting to develop between jingyuan and fang ji , fang ji's death ( what kind of death was thatπ ) , yan ke killing simu's father we only got to see it in a flashback , Jiang ai and bai sang xing backstory what made them hate yet love each other?, yan ke trying to kill simu and threatening to do so yet when he had the chance he didn't, I am confused wasn't power his obsession, did he really love her ? to me it was an obsession all along .
that being said it was a great love story, him willing to sacrifice his life to give her his 5 sense and her giving up her spiritual power to become mortal and be with him.
loved the extra episode it would have been devastating to end with him dying and her being alone all over again.
still a great drama although it lacked depth and was rushed at some points.
