Check Out All This Filler
Ya'll why was this like 95% filler? I'm used to any show having some semblance of filler to fill in the gaps or pad out episodes, but this was absolutely ridiculous. The first episode (or episode 0) was decent enough and then it just went downhill as it progressed. There's no reason for 5-6 episodes of this, let alone 12! No wonder I dropped it when it first was airing.Was this review helpful to you?

Showing Off My Bias
This was adorable. Kdrama's often have a higher budget than some other BL's, though they sometimes lacked in chemistry. This was not that, I honestly really enjoyed our leads paired together! It's hilarious that 3 of the main characters are actual idols or previously idols. Whereas the one playing the idol Kang Min is not, he's just a tall gorgeous model. You wouldn't know acting wasn't these guys first gig too, they did a great job! I think we were kinda skimped out on any real character development with our side couple, they just kinda intertwined with SiYeol and Aejun's love story. I know they're meant to be exes rekindling, but I wanted to see a lot more from them. The episodes were short so adding in some depth would've really helped the story for me.Was this review helpful to you?

Wandee Had A Good 4 MONTHS!?
Okay so here's the thing. Never in a million years would I believe Wandee's pretty booty wouldn't have the gays in the club swarming around him. So that part of the story took me out a little bit lol. However, this show was pretty good and I'm glad I got to see Great and Inn in an entirely different setting to Rati. The progression of their relationship was kind of slow, since their entire one-night-stand to FWB situation was like 1 day, then going to FWB to full relationship was over 4 months lol. I was screaming at the screen for them to just start a damn relationship for a couple episodes because it was drawn out. However, overall it was still enjoyable to watch overall and I enjoyed the chemistry! I also really loved that the show had some Ace representation! That's awesome and it combated the stereotype of ace people not wanting loving relationships, which is not true!Was this review helpful to you?

Read Rati's Memoir, It's Got Lots O' Tea
This show was beyond sweet. I'm not normally into historical fiction as a genre, especially when it comes to Queer content. Why? Because its always depressing. This however, wasn't that. There was definitely turmoil, homophobia, class debacles, etc. But the show wasn't overrun with it, and there was a happy ending! I loved the backdrop of I believe the 1910's? Seeing the culture and history intertwined into the story was beautiful. Our lead actors were great too, I hadn't seen them paired in anything before. So I'll have to check out their other series as well!Was this review helpful to you?

Would You Reset Time for Love?
This show was very good. Often time travel stuff can get extremely convoluted, but this wasn't too bad! I kept up with it fairly well and it wasn't completely out of the realm of possibility like some other shows have been. I enjoyed our leads and wanted to see them succeed together, as well as take down some of these trashy co characters UGH. Plus Cameos, Minus Chemistry
This show was the epitome of aight. The stories didn't really grip me, the couples were both okay. This show just wasn't really memorable, except for the numerous cameos from other actors in it. Which was hilarious, considering I reacted outrightly stronger to seeing them than anything going on in this shows plot! I saw Aaron and Hank from 'Be: Loved in House' which I loved. I saw Charles from 'HIStory 4' which was a callback to him working in the wedding industry. And finally WAYNE and HUANG from 'HIStory 3: Make our days count' which as many know is one of my favorite BL's ever. I almost cried seeing them, what random appearances by all of these guys! Either way, this show is worth a watch but there's much better Taiwanese shows out there to binge.Was this review helpful to you?

Where's the Depth?
This is what happens when shows are so short. They really lack depth, and for a show called 'Depth of Field' that's something I was really looking for. I did enjoy it don't get me wrong, I think it was sweet! However, there could've been so much more here. It kinda felt like 'My Beautiful Man' light, and not just because its set in Japan with a photographer (though that is so many coincidences lol). If we would get a second season or special, maybe it would really help the story! But with what we got, I was left wanting more for our two mains especially Hayakawa.Was this review helpful to you?

A Shoulder To....Cause Frustration
So again, BL's don't need to be super saucy or spicy to capture my interest. ITSAY is a great example, and its my favorite! This series though lacked a little of everything. Though I think the emotions were mostly there and I loved the archery element, what the hell were those final 2 episodes? The plot fell apart and completely lost focus. The main couple didn't really feel like a couple, it felt like two close friends. There was no kiss, there was no intimacy to be had. I wanted so much more.Was this review helpful to you?

You're Invited To My Dining Table
I love the manga of this, so I had high expectations for this series. I'm happy to say they did succeed in what I was hoping for! This was so wholesome, so heartwarming and tear-jerking. The laid out the story so well and I fell in love with its story and characters all over again. Also its shot really nicely so thats always a plus as well.Was this review helpful to you?

I Wanted to SEE More Love, Less Trauma
So I love complicated stories don't get me wrong. I want a well-versed story, with relatable-ish characters. I really enjoy Peat and Fort overall, I think their chemistry is amazing. I also think their previous series is far superior to this, adding more "spice" doesn't change that fact. Though both series include trauma with Peat's character, whereas this show it felt forced and rushed, "Love in the air" had half the time and managed to do the story more justice than this ones. The plot also ended and it was only for the favor of the special episode. Without that special episode I was sat there on the couch like...that can't be it? It made zero sense. This was watchable but I want to see so much more with these actors, and not just trauma dump.Was this review helpful to you?

Needed a Better Plan
Okay regardless if our main characters might not be the brightest all the time, I really enjoyed this. It was adorable and of course I have to give extra kudos for having the entire Love in the Air gang return back to get married/engaged in this. I loved that along with the new story introduced. I have yet to watch the uncut version but I'll be watching it soon enough! Hoping it adds on some goodies.Was this review helpful to you?

Fighting The Urge To Rewatch The First Season (Again)
I'm not sure why I never wrote a review for this? Probably because I was upset initially that our main boys were split up for like 5 years from the first season to this season! I understand why (stupid father) but it felt unnecessary. Although without it I'm not exactly sure where this season would've went. It's no secret that We Best Love is one of my top BL series. Its got amazing acting, storyline, chemistry, music, etc. So this second season was probably never going to live up to that. However, it was still pretty darn good. So watch it! Just be prepared to be frustrated for a bit before things go back to where they need to be.Was this review helpful to you?
This Is Not A Simulation! This is Life!
Another example of an amazing Korean BL with too short of episodes! Our leads are amazing, such heartfelt loving moments, cute soundtrack and story. But with 15 minute episodes I wanted so so soooo much more! I hope we get a movie version of this at least like Viki has been doing that includes extended scenes, because I enjoyed this too much for it to just end here. Seriously Viki...do it please or I'll lose my mind. Although a second season would be even better, we've been getting those more frequently too for BL's.Was this review helpful to you?

I Might Watch This 609 Times And Still Be Confused
So this show totally flew past my radar. I had no idea it was coming out and thats saying something! I've followed Fluke and Ohm for awhile now and really like their chemistry. Though I don't think UWMA will ever be defeated in how amazing they were in that, this series also showcased their acting abilities in different ways.I also didn't know Plustor was in this! Yay! And plot twist, DO NOT TELL ME that Plustors character and Nat are exes in this series lmao. Yes indeed they are! Is this casting an alternate reality!? That was so funny to me. So let's get into the characters.
Mum's character was...douchey at the beginning for sure . He grew on me but only because of the influence of Dew. We love me caring about the side couple because of Plustor more than Fluke and Ohm's storyline lol.. though I did like seeing both of their stories and how they intertwine. Though the plot got so convoluted that I couldn't keep it straight and I just went along for the ride not knowing half of what was happening lol.
One of the things that didn't make sense is Mum's sister never mentioning him to Dew. Like she likes him and doesn't bring up her brothers name ever!? That was weird. Also the Dew getting shot plot kinda didn't even really matter in the end. Like you're led to believe its that guy whose in love with Mum's sister, then you think its the sister which was actually a cool twist that was wasted! Then the uncle putting a hit out on his nephew. I was confusedddd dude. Multiverse plotlines are really hard to do, so I applaud them for trying but it didn't completely work out.
Watch this show though! It was good for what it was and I wanna see more from our side couple!

What A Beautiful Set Of Bois
Had no idea what I was jumping into with this one. I've had mixed reactions to Japanese BL's. Loved ones like "Cherry Magic", "Love On The Line" and "The Novelist" , but sometimes they get quite repetitive. As well as now really showing the leads dynamic very well, aka they don't have much chemistry. Well this show definitely was a pleasant surprise!First things first. I really like the animation aesthetics in this. They really added to the storytelling, it also made me think of "Heartstopper". I love how our main character Hira is so shy and awkward. He really is one of the most awkward main characters in a BL I've ever seen and that's saying something! So high praise to the actor. Though one plot device with the character I didn't like. I understand the violence symbolism of the gun motif was him expressing his inner thoughts and feelings. However, it was still too much lol. I live in America, that sh** is too serious.
Kiyoi's development with Hira is interesting. I saw little nuances of him liking him back from the start. Sticking up for him, the little smiles and wanting to just be around him. So I could tell something was up from the beginning, which is a good thing. It shouldn't just be completely one sided infatuation. I love that ep 5 is completely dedicated to Kiyoi and his backstory. We saw everything from his POV too now which is what I wanted. I also love seeing Hira kicking booty in this episode! We got to see our shy boy screaming and I loved it. At first I thought their first kiss seemed so out of left field, but if this is how Kiyoi has been feeling this entire time. Totally makes sense now. Boy is in love and the jealous type! I was frustrated thinking Kiyoi needed to stop being so chill or acting chill about everything. However ep 5 on explained this very well and I understood where he was coming from in his reservations.
Moving on. The intro of Koyami (our official love triangle boy) was interesting. I really like him and he clearly likes Hira a lot. So I felt conflicted. But because the love Hira has for Kiyoi I knew the switch up could never be. However, all I'm saying is but THE TINY CAKE Hira got himmmm. So sweet! The final talk between Hira and Koyami hurt my heart, but it was really well done. Koyami is genuinely also a good person, like he wants Hira to be happy, Koyami FOR THE WIN. It was nice to see the other love interest not be shady for a change. We got our happy ending and I hope Koyami gets a boo too! He deserves it.
