It’s so much mystery in this show especially the mysterious Ye Li . I feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface we know absolutely nothing about her …girl got me wondering if she’s crazy talking to her dead maid every night or possibly possessed by the ghosts of her dead clan I see what she’s doing but then I’m confused by her af by her spill a little tea 😩 does she have some type of power that lets her take on her dead clan talents or something??? 🤷‍♀️ it’s about 10 or 11 episodes left and she’s hiding so much !

Also idk her and Mo Xiu Yao are an ok couple but idk is it just me but I don’t find them cute together lol 😂 i would rate them together maybe a 4/10 😭😭 and that’s genuinely the best I could give.
I don’t really feel their chemistry at all .
I’m hoping it improves to be honest and it’s no offense to both actors especially since Ryan Cheng Lei is one of my favorite his expressions in his eyes would make you believe anything without him saying a single word ❤️❤️

And all of this could’ve been avoided if both just communicated properly Cheng Yi Chen kept taking leaving Lu Feng without any explanation and Lu Feng kept sacrificing just to be left high and dry they are just too toxic and I hope they don’t end up together they need a clean break up

I’m not sure if I’m gonna continue watching this. These type of shows are not made for me. I am beyond annoyed at the both of them they always hurt each other. Cheng Yi Chen Always chooses everybody over Lu Feng time and time again he always sacrificed Lu Feng . And honestly I feel like he just doesn’t love Lu Feng as much as Lu Feng loves him because if you think about it, it would drive anyone nuts if they love someone so much to the point they’re willing to disobey their father on their deathbed to the point his dad said if you do not leave Cheng Yi Chen i’m cutting you out my will and you’re gonna have to figure out your own way and he literally did it he loved him so much he give up everything no questions asked no second thoughts that man did anything to be with him and I feel like that’s the difference between the both of them.

when it was time for Cheng Yi Chen To prove himself to Stand by Lu Feng he fumbled He just wasn’t willing to make his mother die unhappy so he did whatever she wanted Lu Feng Got the shitty end of the stick and I get it . Shit would’ve drove anyone mad if the person they loved gave up so much because they loved them just t be left like an abandoned dog and what made it worse he married somebody else ! so I don’t blame him for how he’s reacting now.

That is so true because if you realized whenever he’s sad, upset, lonely, or scared he always calls his uncle and his uncle always come running no matter what. And that is the exact reason why he abdicated the throne to his uncle and not follow his mom selfish advice because he knew his mom was wrong and that’s not what he wanted all he wanted to do was be a kid .

Thank you because I was wondering where in that show did they see him going to school playing like any other kid . All he did was go to school and them kids was literally walking on egg shells around him . The poor kid was literally sad after leaving school saying he wished he could go playing like them other kids but he has to go study again after leaving school that’s no way normal . This is why he loves his uncle so much because he’s the only one that makes time to play with him .

No, it did. You mentioned that the male lead manipulated his nephew, but I believe he didn’t. He was the one who stood up for him whenever his mother pushed him out there to handle business as if he were an adult. The male lead was always there for him when he was struggling. I never said that he wasn’t manipulated at all. His grandfather and his mother are the ones doing it, and that was the only thing I disagreed with you about until your response.

Yes, he did die before he abdicated the throne. I agree with that, but I can also argue that it still holds weight because it has the emperor’s personal seal. What I’m saying is that if he truly wanted to be emperor in the first place, he would have put all of them on trial for treason for killing the emperor for personal gain.

The reason all of this is happening is because the Queen Mother wanted the emperor to take more authority, but in reality, it was for herself and her father. What she was saying made no sense. It’s the regent’s job to deal with the political side of the emperor’s job because, as we all know, he’s too young for politics. As I already said, it makes sense because most historical dramas we’ve seen where young emperors rule end up getting taken advantage of when it comes to the political side because they don’t know what’s going on.

I believe that if he truly wanted to be emperor, he could have done it. That’s what I’m saying because he controlled the political side, and the political side is what gives an emperor power. An emperor has no power without his vessels backing him up. They have to vote on things, and the Queen realized that the vessels looked up to the prince agent instead of towards the emperor, and she didn’t like that.

Which is the absolute power . Both of them was literally on the losing end of the stick to me. It made sense to me .

And I felt like he didn’t have to convince his eight year-old nephew to handover the throne because the little boy was already there he knew everything his dad wanted he didn’t even want the throne himself. His mother is the one that forced him and manipulated him into taking it..
Imagine yourself being an eight-year-old kid you can’t even have friends or play with other kids it’s sad honestly. If you realize he calls his uncle for everything because he’s the one he trust to always be there for him vs his mother because she never understood him she didn’t care to all she saw was power.

All I’m saying is they could’ve still had the throne if they just had left well alone He wouldn’t even had bothered asking back for it.

Also personally I would think seeing to your mother killing your father by burning him alive because she can’t get her way would be more traumatizing
