I'm so worried. What if the show airing will ruin the two actors' future?
I have tried to suppress my worry and think the opposite. No, I think the show will even bring them more opportunities in the future. For once in my life, I stand for the censorship body in China and I choose to believe that they have censored parts which will cause issues. Antis are gonna be antis, and they might have done their digging long ago when immortality was filmed, and if they found something, they will use that eventually now or later. They might have used it to LYX last time when Love is Sweet got so hyped, for example. But whether Immortality airs or not, these two actors are still active and producing more and more dramas, and those dramas can be hyped as well. So, if antis have something, they will use it either when immortality airs or when their other dramas air. So, to prevent antis by hoping our actors’ drama not air or not successful enough to get attention is not fair to the actors. I basically know your feeling because I have been dwelling on this for days myself, but then I realized this is not helping anyone at all. So, I choose to gain back my positivity and have faith in my fav actors, they will do just fine and the show will do just fine. Sometimes the stronger your thoughts, the more likely those will happen; so now I choose to stop thinking the worst :)
Oh same, I am watching that as well! It bothers me that they changed the title to stand by me, it kept giving me doraemon image every time people said ‘stand by me’ 😂 The new BaiLu & RenJiaLun drama looks promising too, but I haven’t started.
What about the funny scene, guys? We haven’t talked about it. I find the scene where past Xuemeng and future Xuemeng met and the past Xuemeng didn’t know about JiangXi and there was this part where the future Xuement was like ‘you didn’t know?’ 🤣
Can you imagine newcomers come to this page and they see how active the comments section but reluctant to read to avoid spoiler but then wondering ‘is this show airing already? How come I can’t find it…but if it hasn’t, what are these people discussing about that has spoiler alert?’
I agree with all of this. About the ghost wedding, I think they are going to do it because I saw leaks about it…
Haha, to be honest at this point, I am totally fine if they remove all the traces of BL or bromance. If they focus the relationship on strong master-disciple bond, it still makes a lot of sense to the plot in overall. After all, it is normal in xianxia/wuxia for master and disciple to sacrifice for each other and have loyalty level even more than a lover.
