Initially I was so excited because I wanted to see LYX in white again so badly! And then after waiting for so long, following the social media about immortality, I got interested and started to read the book. Though I’m not into BL and didn’t exactly enjoy the ‘adult’ parts of the book, I really like the whole story, it is so well written and unpredictable. I never thought anyone could ever think of such story!!
So, is this good? I have stopped watching for a while, and dunno if I should continue since I have nothing to watch. I like LiQin but I can’t take her dubbed voice, so forcefully cute, just can’t take it…so annoyed.

Also, I think we need to think from the director’s perspective. Most of us either have read the books or have seen the spoiler so we kinda knew they would be together, we kinda expected the last scene. But for the rest, when u went thru that last episode, and u saw there was only 5 min left and still no sign of happy ending, ur emotion was up and u worried u would never see them together. So, the 2 min ending is for this purpose I guess. If u watched that last episode knowing there is still ep 50, then u would already guess ‘there might be something good coming out’ and the essence of surprise is out.
I think the ending is just right, it gives audiences the right to imagine the rest. If they would have extended it just to show their happy life, talks etc, it might give us time to calm down our emotion, and might be boring since we know they both gonna be lovey dovey, apologize to each other etc while all the misunderstandings have been realized (shanggu knew why BJ being cold, Yuanqi knew why BJ ignored him etc). So, it’s good to keep us at high emotion after ending. In my imagined extended scene, I dun play around Shanggu, BJ, Yuanqi reunion. Here is my imagined version: I would want Jingzhao to calm her mother by telling her ‘don’t worry, shanggu is suffering her lost because BJ is dead’ and then uses her power to somewhat show and peep on shanggu expecting to see her kneeling and crying..,but then what they see is shanggu and BJ hugging! Then, they both got even more bitter that SG and BJ get their happy ending. What’s your version guys?

I think the best face reaction was when HC stabbed BJ…ZDY really showed it just by face! From anger to satisfaction to confusion to pain, almost like reading her heart saying ‘Yes, I finally stabbed u, I am so satisfied I got my revenge! Wait…hold on, what is this feeling? Wait, why am I not feeling relieved? Wait, why it hurts to see him hurt…’
