C-drama only. Actually I don’t have anything specific, I like those with great cinematography. I watch costume drama too, and I see Ancient Love Poetry is showing today? I tend to watch those with familiar faces, and lucky I start to know quite a lot chinese actors and actress. The most recent I watched and I liked was Mr lizard and Ms Crow which was not too heavy with good editing. I tried watching Eternal Love, but I just don’t like Liang Jie (sorry, this is purely personal preference) so I can’t stand seeing her all over.
Is there a translated novel in a downloadable file like pdf or epub or anything? I want to read but I want to just put it into my kindle instead of reading online…
Is this drama worth watching? I am only on episode 1, like 15 min, but I already cannot stand the cinematography. The whole set looked so fake, the building the floor everything looked like a big house decorated with wallpaper. Pls tell me they will not ‘pretend’ to be abroad the whole time? I think you misunderstood. I am not saying they have to fight like crazy for their loves, against all the culture and rules, to show the chemistry; I am just saying this drama is lack the ‘fall-in-love’ moments that make u feel their feelings are real. Despite being 19, Furou is supposed to have this mature personality allowing her to have such courage, understanding, agility...but it just doesn’t add up when it comes to her way in ‘feeling’ and ‘relationship’. I wonder if the book is written better in expressing the depth of feelings each couple has, with a good background story.

In my opinion, all the couples in this drama don’t have any chemistry. But basically because the story behind their relationship is never strong, I never remember any ‘deep’ moment where they fell in love. ChuMu fell for Furou just like that, and Furou fell for Chumu...when? And how? I dun even remember. And Luying ying fell for Yanzifang...over a pearl?? Then she fell for King Liang despite his evil? Then Fuyin for LuQi...even nothing could make sense of it. Maybe the only making sense are ChuLing and princess, and probably ChuJun and crown princess’ sister...but those are more like puppy loves...so, I never expect to see any love chemistry
