Well...I haven't read SS so really don't know if it is really similar...I watched the donghua but kinda forget already 😂 But I don't know what's wrong with Tencent, lately they have been showing crappy dramas...
I feel like Ming Lan is probably the strongest FL in the entire c drama land! She doesn't have power, not a noble born, not a princess, doesn't even have martial art skill etc... She is just emotionally strong...like really strong. How she maintained her emotion, her reaction, her response to situation...I think her personality is gold! And funny thing is...I came to watch this because I read some comment war in Pearl Eclipse comparing Yang Mi and ZLY...I wasn't familiar with ZLY and then randomly watched this drama just to see how ZLY's acting was...and here I am, fully engaged in this show and loving it!!!
I pretty like him, he looked very inexperience, innocent etc...but I know he loved Ming Lan so much...I just wished his mother told him the situation earlier so he didn't insist on Ming Lan fighting for him...but then again, without this early love story...the character development for Ming Lan won't be perfect :)
