Oh yes, that's true. If the romance is a necessary plot, then I am okay. Otherwise, it shouldn't even be there and distract us from the main plot (especially if it takes >20% of the episodes)

Mine will be: Modern drama: pretend couple/contract marriage. This is so cliché that I am throwing up every time I see drama with this theme. Always FL and ML decided to pretend to be lover, or are forced for contract marriage…hate each other at first then slowly fall in love…please…😑
Wuxia: female as best heroine (but turned out not so ‘best’). I am sick of wuxia which put the FL as the one with the highest skill, the most badass one…but then constantly needs saving and helps from ML in one way or another. I guess the world is not ready for a pure female heroine 😔
Xianxia: evil heaven emperor/empress. It has become a norm that it makes it predictable every time I have to guess who the bad guy is…can’t we have a truly good and angelic heaven emperor/empress for once? 😅
