We are not haters, none of us are I believe. We all love HoB to our bones. It’s just that, some are very positive and very welcoming, they are grateful this is brought to live adaptation and they are very open minded and optimistic. While some like us, just feel wronged because our beloved HoB is not being treated to the level it deserves. To be honest, I used to only read its manhua and watched donghua, and even from those two (which basically only showed up to Banyue part), I already felt a big hit when I saw the leaks of the drama. And now that I read the novel and read more and more chapters, I am drowning in my own tears whenever that white dress flashed into my mind. I don’t even have any energy and heart to pay attention to the rest of other characters, looking at XL himself is enough to destroy my soul 😭

The thing is, I still can’t picture ZXW as XL. No matter how hard I try, his face is just not XL. And I don’t think any kind of make up or styling will ever change that. Not his fault though.
And him in that white dress, is like haunting me every day, every night. Can they take big pity on me and let go of that dress, throw it away, burn it, not to let it ever appears anymore please??? That white dress is the most horrible costume I have ever seen in my entire c drama experience…and the fact that it was worn by a male actor…even made it worse because that was definitely a female gown!

I agree. ChengYi and LuLu’s acting are superb, but the storyline and production really disappointed me so much. I had a very high expectation at the beginning, but then it all went down like a lead balloon.
Note that I am not a hater, I even commented in excitement and positivity at the beginning, but no matter how much I admire ChengYi and Lulu’s acting, I can’t be bias in my opinion on the overall drama.

Btw, I am reading HoB these two days…and the more I read, the more worried I am for the drama. The whole parts of the novel are ‘expensive’, there is no way a low budget can make it alive. And I feel that only you would understand how I feel 😞

And here I was hoping Tencent would release hyx to replace Oath of Love after it finishes airing…but now, it is postponed 😞
