Dropped storylines seems to be a theme on KBS.

I think my break from this drama helped because it wasn’t that bad. AOME was much much worse and I still have this last week to get through it. Both dramas had so many parallels to them - both had such potential. Just glad this one is being moved to the completed file tomorrow.

Tbh, I wanted him to get back together with SK’s mom.

I never liked her with DW and they had to be the dumbest characters yet. How do you date over a year and not know one thing about each other’s families? Ignorant writing to say the least.

Caught up so I can watch the final episode tomorrow. Looks like a time skip about a year when JH gives the rights to TK to adopt HN.

See, I didn’t think it was as bad as this one. Not saying it is great but the AOME storyline and directing is so much worse than TRHC.

Omg, why can’t she use a normal voice all the time? lol she sounds much better there. That’s the whole reason I won’t watch any of her dramas. I cannot stand to listen to her whiny baby talk voice. 🤮

No I have not watched it. I have heard he is good in it. I like him better in modern settings though.

That is exactly what we’ve been saying because a lot of us watching AOME have also been watching this one. The parallels to both are a bit uncanny and both because a burning landfill of toxic waste around the same time.

Apple of My Eye directing - what is this director trying to convey with his scenes? We have 5 episodes left and he seems to keep aligning the ML with the “returned from the dead villainous ex-wife”. Every scene you see the ML standing next to her instead of the love of his life, MiRae. Some scenes seem to be missing which makes others feel out of sequence. Lots of preview scenes were never shown. I have no idea or clue what this whole drama was trying to say or portray.

Just one more week to endure. At least TRHC is ending tomorrow. I am getting ready to watch today’s episode - I finally caught up to it. Someone posted over there that they heard there was a change in producers around the time the episodes started going south over at KBS - so I am guessing it’s the cause of this one going off the rails as well. 🤷🏼‍♀️ it was obvious these two dramas were following each other’s storylines pretty closely.

Seems they also interfered in the KBS1 AOME daily because it completely went off the rails as well. We’ve been convinced the writers of these two shows have been sharing their horrible storyline ideas over lunch.

It happened to a friend of mine. He waited several years after his wife left him to file - mind you they had 2 girls together so it wasn’t like she disappeared - they still were in contact because of their kids - anyway, when he went to file, he found out she had divorced him several years before and he never knew. There are several places you can go to get a quick divorce. Korea has reciprocity with US for marriages and divorces so they both would be recognized in each other’s country. The only difference is if a Korean divorces in US they have to submit the paperwork to their consulate to get their name removed from the family registry - if they don’t the name stays until they do so but the divorce is still recognized, regardless.
