I found this a bit confusing but i think this part:

“ clears up the misunderstanding about the future thanks to Ho Sik. “

Means HS clears up the misunderstanding that JD has about MR - he probably tells her some hard truths about her dear mom.

It’s never been about HN but about besting TK. He can’t forgive TK for taking SJ from him and then YD. I don’t think he cared about YD but he was absolutely going to marry SJ if she accepted - but she rejected him for TK - therein began his hatred for TK.

Has been from the beginning - willing to bet she never even wanted her from the start. I doubt we will ever get that backstory though unless that all comes out in a pique of anger and it’s when it is revealed KS is not the father.
