I think at first she will put up a great resistance but in the end she will see it’s best for them all to let him move on. And she will always be taken care of by him. She was the closest thing he had to a mother after his grandmother died. He really does love her, she just needs to stop being so controlling. Plus I think once MR is more confident in their love she will love her as well but she won’t allow HD to guilt trip KS anymore.

I don’t know - I kind of think KS does feel that way about her since his talk with MR. He has admitted things to her that he has not said to anyone else. He did admit to his father that he’d love to move on but he can’t sacrifice JD’s happiness at the expense of his own and he has told MR he is afraid of resenting Sun Ju when she returns because he has had these thoughts and questions about her - why did she leave? Where did she go? Why did she abandon JD? I think whatever crush he may have had on her (I won’t call it love because it seems like he only got and stayed married for JD’s sake) as a young man is long gone and probably died when she left him with JD and never contacted them. Even his friendship he obviously had with her has died. How do you NOT resent someone who abandons you like this? Tbh, the best thing he could have done is divorce her when Jd was young enough to not even realize what was happening. I blame MIL for that. I can see that she probably guilt-tripped KS to hanging on to the beliefthat her precious daughter would return. What a bunch of wasted years for KS - he could have been happy with someone else who treated him well instead of waiting for that selfish witch to return.

IMO, if you have to chase someone down to find out what happened to them then they are not worth the trouble of finding out.

I’ve seen too many of these family dramas to know that they absolutely could show SJ with her other family that includes kids. I’ve even seen them have the mother return because they needed bone marrow and were hoping that the child they left behind could be a match to heal either their sibling or parent. We know she won’t return to get money because KS has none and this might be why she has never contacted them again. If she was still living in Korea she may have been keeping tabs on them to see if they did extraordinarily well with their business. She may have seen that they were never going to be rich so she burned her bridges. I don’t think she will return as a nice person. It has to be bad enough that JD will stay with her dad and be ok with him divorcing her mom and remarrying.

And yes, I always got the feeling that KS talked her out of an abortion. Would really like more of their backstory. But someone commented that Ye Ju made the comment once that implied her sister may not have been the nicest person so I wonder why she had enough compassion to help KS.

It’s plausible except she would have had to have met JH in the US because is states in episode 1 or 2 that he has lived in the US since he was in college. Sun Ju had to have attended at least 1 year in college/elite school because it does state she was a drop out. I imagine JD’s dad was in the same college/elite school as she was. We know she stayed in touch with KS after they graduated from high school because she helped him through wanting to commit suicide because of having to take care of his grandmother, school, and working to provide for them because SD was a loser son and father. KS states in one of the earlier episodes that he was exhausted and couldn’t think of anything but killing himself. I think this had to happen while he was still in high school. I get the feeling KS, HS, and Sun Ju all went to high school together.

Sun Ju must have stayed in touch with KS when she went to her elite school - so did she go abroad for a year or was her school in Korea? It would seem it would have been in Korea since she was meeting her former classmates locally? Or they were all home vacation and decided to get together - so if she really did attend school in the US for at least a year, could she have met JH there? Got pregnant ( I am not saying JH is the father because I don’t believe he is) and had to drop out and return to Korea? Yu Jin said she had to return to Korea because her father fell in love with another woman and destroyed their family - was is the truth? Did she lie ? Which also makes me wonder - where is HD’s husband? Has it ever mentioned him? There are no photos of him so maybe he did leave them all for another woman ? 😫😫😫😵‍💫

Yep. KS’s decision to stay as caregiver to chairman is to his benefit. While JH looks down his nose at a lowly “caregiver” position, KS is the one who has the chairman’s ear and confidence, JH does not. Dong Sr sees this, JH does not. Dong Sr sees KS as the biggest threat because he realizes how important KS is becoming to the chairman but JH does not. JH thinks as long as he can marry MR that he will automatically get those share and the company but he is forgetting that he isn’t next in line and there is no way Soo Ji will allow Jae Hyun’s and JP’s right to inherit to ever be usurped. Maybe this will be the wake up call Jae Hyun has needed to take his job seriously.

Btw, if JH were to ever even get close to marrying MR I believe Soo Ji would talk them in to making JH sign a prenuptial agreement.

I almost wrote that exact thing - or that maybe she even connected with JD’s dad again but he is supposed to have died and even if he was alive it wouldn’t explain abandoning JD so it would have to be someone different.

It’s one thing to need to get away for some alone time but she left them. Packed her bags, left and never looked back. How would she have even gone abroad - what money did she have to do that? She had none otherwise KS would have sent her to school and helped her follow her dream. So where did she get the money to book a flight to the US and where is the money coming from to find a place to stay and to put food on the table and pay bills? She had none. Who supported her? She had to have help from someone wealthy.

Sun Ju and KS had a fight and he took JD to the playground. Sun Ju had gone to a reunion with her classmates and they were all in nice ballet companies and she was angry over it. kS had taken JD to the playground - I guess to cool down and MiL followed him there and chewed him out for bringing Sun Ju down. She had worked hard for years so Sun Ju could go to a prestigious ballet school but she met KS and he brought her down (by getting her pregnant but we know that isn’t the case). When KS went back with JD is when Sun Ju told him she was sick of him, JD, everything and she grabbed her bag and left. So MIL blames KS because she believes Sun Ju left because of him.

I believe a lead in the campaign will lead KS to her, not her to them. I think he will follow up on it and see her and realize she has a whole other family and man and from the ages of the kids he will see, they won’t be much younger than JD. Just my thoughts because even to just follow a dream why would she cut off her mom and sisters too? And if she had made it big as a prima ballerina, they would have seen her on the news or on ballet company sites so she obviously never made it into the big time.

Like father, like son - except Sr is a lot wiser to what is going on right under Jr’s nose. You are so correct - Jr Jerkface Twit can’t see the forest for the trees.

Just commented elsewhere but will put it here too.

My question is why they believe putting up a missing person campaign is going to make her return home. If she truly left because she was sick of all of them, why would them searching for her make her come home now? It isn’t as if they moved to a different place and she couldn’t find them. They’ve lived in the same house and been running the same side dish store for over 10 years so she would know how to find them. If she doesn’t have amnesia then it’s because she doesn’t WANT to be found and running a campaign isn’t going to all of a sudden make her come running home.

I am beginning to wonder if she is living closer than they think and with a new family. It may be that a lead takes KS to where she is. instead of her coming to him, and he will see she has another family and man. Let’s just hope that JD doesn’t have any siblings attending the same school with her.

Or sabotage the porridge production and make it look like it is SS’s fault
