Since there are two authors for the novel I feel like one is writing a chapter and the other takes over to write the next without having read the previous one and this just goes on which is why there is no consistency in the story.

I remember back in the days when I thought we would not get KP because of the company issue.

Daemi messed up a lot of things. For example, one moment you think Vegas is desperate to take Pete back but at the same moment he feels confident that he can get him back. In the chapter of his POV ,after Pete's escape ,he seems to have regretted everything and his confidence dropped so much to the point that he thought it is better to stay out of Pete's life. Then, next he uses Porsche to make sure Pete never enters a relationship with anyone else because he is suddenly sure he can have him back. During the war he wished that there is a way for Pete to choose him over the main family, but for someone who is not sure that Pete would choose him, he seemed too accepting of the new situation in the hospital. There is no consistency . BOC did a far better job with his character.

I trust BOC that can do better but I don't trust that they will give us season 2. How are we so sure that there will be season 2 in the first place? I need the first ep to drop to believe it. They gave me major trust issues.
