DON'T HURT ME THIS WAY.Vegas lucks self -love and he loves Pete more than anyone so he wishes only the best for…
I was just thinking about that, I love their dynamic and how they keep mirroring each other's behaviour, they are two sides of the same cojn and when they meet they affect each other's life to the point that they are faced within the feelings burried deep inside of them. They make each other grow and change.I love them for it
I also love the redemption journey for both of them. They have similar childhood trauma but where Pete fakes happiness…
They are mirroring each other's behaviour which is why they understand each other the most. They are so similar yet different, two sides of the same coin.

They should be taught that gay couples are like any staight couples, they are all ordinary couples , the only extraordinary about KP is the setting cause their love story takes place in the world of crime.
I just realized that one of the reasons I love VegasPete story is because it has all the elements I want in a love story but combined, and on top of that it is well executed without creating a mess out of those mixed tropes.
We got a villain falling in love with his enemy, we got enemies to lovers, there is forbidden love, they are two broken souls healing each other, and I love how Pete's existence had little to no effect on Vegas' life ,which is why he did not hesitate to hurt him in the beginning , but now he ended up as his most important person to the point that Pete's emotions affect Vegas.
Now excuse me as I go and cry in the corner knowning that no couple will top those two for me.

KP fandom : anaylsing each character, making theories, trying to see where the plot will go The users in these reviews : So they are all fetishizers and are here for the sex only. Like it is so unsual for them to see a couple have sex? Sex is part of relationships, couples have sex, it is normal, it is realistic represantation of two people in love.
first of all, you brought the color analysis back and iām living for it. secondly, i think the best part about…
I just think lighting plays a major role in the series and I love those little details. Definitely agree, Vegas found his freedom because of Pete and now he has a place he can truly call home .
AN OTHER AMAZING READ MY BABY ā„ I'd like to add something that has been pondering my mind today and making me…
Thank you for reading bby š
I totally agree, , thank you for adding those details. Your words made me even more emotional thinking about this scene. Vegas' cruel exterior can be taken down only by Pete, and as you said this time he chose to be the most vulnerable he has ever been, he lost his father so there is no reason for him to keep his mask on and more importantly, Pete chose him which made it even harder for him to maintain his ruthless mask.
I love how you described Vegas' cruelty as a shiled cause that it is exactly. He is like a hedgehog pointing his spikes to protect himself from danger but once a hedgehog feels comfortable their spikes are relaxed and there is no chance of getting poked at this state. Vegas is no longer in a state to hurt others since he is vulnerable in front of Pete
What makes KP the series special to me personally is how details works. At first it might seem nothing more as a romantic story with a mafia setting, which it is to some extent but, the way the details work make it stand out as a series. Each dialogue hides a deeper meaning behind it, each scene tells a story in itself. Through the way the lighting is used, the emotions and psychological state of each character are underlined. The objects surrounding the characters suggest small but important details about each character, providing the viewer with enough material to process and study each character, leading to their own interpretations.
Let's talk about Vegas' transition from ''I need you Pete'' to ''I love you Pete''. Two simple yet powerful lines that signify Vegas's change.
In ep 13 Vegas in his desperation to keep Pete to himself he admitted that he needs him. At that moment he was acting selfishly because it was a moment ago that he was pointing a knife at Pete and then he dares to request that he stays with him, withought being willing to unchain him unless he promises to stay. At that moment Vegas was being selfish yet honest. He needed Pete because he made him feel better, at first he was venting out his anger on him, later he came to find comfort in Pete's presence. In that scene the red lighting begins to subside along with his anger and Purple starts taking over. Purple can be associated with an escape from reality and magical images. Pete is exactly that to Vegas. An escape from his harsh reality. Their relationship is like a drug and Vegas got addicted to it. Pete allows him to see a different reality, a more colorfull and peaceful one. He was so lost in that colorful world for a moment only to be brought back to his harsh reality by Kan. That is why he needs Pete to take him back to that colorful world filled with bliss that blinds him from reality. Pete is his drug and without it he is alone facing the cold and lonely reality.Vegas is chained to his father and the need to gain his approval. It is a chain that he can not break free from by himself. The chain gets heavier and heavier every time he fails to please his father and he is dragged down more and more each time. He is drowning in darkness ,cold and alone only for Pete to find him and distract him from the weight on his shoulders by providing him with everything he ever desired.
When Pete escapes and realization hits Vegas that Pete this time chose freedom over him, he starts to change. Pete no longer serves as his drug. He went to find him only so that he could apologize. This time he did not ask for anything in return and the next time they reunite he confesses his love.
Vegas said he loves Pete and if he dies he wishes to be killed by Pete. That moment Vegas was vulnerable and honest like he was in ep 13 when he asked Pete to stay. However, this time he was selfless, he put Pete above his own needs. During that scene there are green undertones in the lighting ,symbolizing Vegas' change as green is a color that symbolizes growth and rebirth.
When Vegas' dad died Vegas broke free from the chains that tied him to his father but, he was so dragged down by those chains at this point that he could not escape the darkness. He was lost , alone and afraid. He was used to the darkness before because the hope that his father might acknowledge him made it bearable for him to carry the weight of the chains. Now it was different because he was competely alone in the void. He was free but at what cost? He lost his purpose to navigate through the darkness, he was blind in a dark place and the chains of his father was the only thing that made him found his way. He tried to push away Pete because he felt he had nothing to provide him with. He was left with nothing. Pete however was desperate to make Vegas see that he is not alone, no matter what he will be there for him. His words made Vegas find his way out of the darkness because he finally realizeed that there is a person in this world that craves for him, his entire being and he does not care how broken he may be, because together they save each other from their own demons.
btw this is so beautiful, loved it š
