I actually enjoyed this season as much as season 1. I feel both were charming in their own ways, both had their strong and weak points. -In season 1 I could count on the fingers of my one hand the characters I liked, while in season 2 the cast is more likable and I find myself rooting for more characters than I did for in season 1. -While I am more emotionally invested in the cast in season 2, season 1 was more emotional, I felt that the stakes were higher there and despite most of the cast in season 1 being more annoying, I felt they perceived the danger more than the players in season 2 did, in my opinion players in season 1 prioritized their survival over the money ,unlike players in season 2,thus it was more interesting to see their desperation for survival in season 1 cause not only it made the games more interesting, but you could see how far some characters could go, season 1 did a better job at highlighting how humans can adapt to new circumstances no matter the insanity behind them. - I liked how number 001 in season was a secret villain, they made me shed tears for him and then made me feel like a clown, I like how in season 2 they chose a different narrative for the villain and this time around we knew from the start that he is bad. Both narrative options serve their purpose well. - season 2 had no cringe VIP scenes
I really miss Jang Tian and Sheng Wang. I have been watching edits of them non-stop. It would be so sad if we do not get to see the end of the journey on screen.
The yearning in their eyes, the tender gestures, the hesitation in their actions, the soft intimate moments, the tension of unspoken emotions. THIS DRAMA IS A GEM IN BL GENRE AND IT WOULD BE A CRIME NOT TO GET A SECOND SEASON
Interesting. So what did you enjoy about it when you read the manhwa?
I enjoyed Ajin's character, she is a terrible person but an interesting character. I liked how the manhwa did not romanticise her actions and despite her hardships, the narrative did not try to justify her in any way.
Right, I am almost done reading and wow AJin is really something ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Honestly, idk how to feel about the ending but at the same time I acknowledge that the storytelling was unique as it followed someone so self-centered as Ajin. I wish she suffered more in the end but the enfing they got gives a more realistic vibe.
