I hope so too and i fully agree with you. You explained it so good
Exactly! That's the charm of this pairing. This pair is really intersting and well written, their love story consists of so many emotions and it is done so well it makes you addicted to them and you can not help but love them.
i havent read the novel but u explained it so well!! i really hope they do it like that
Thank you <3 Also I wanna mention that I am so mad when people call their story an example of stockholm syndrome cause did they read the same thing as I did? I hope that by reading my comment people will change their minds too, cause the way I interpreted it there is no stockholm syndrome involved. Let's cross fingers that they will keep their story as it is.

Hopefully they will follow the novel, I am really excited for them, so many complicated feelings are involved when it comes to them and I want the to convey that in the series too
Mini rant about VegasPete spoilers ahead from the novel
I really hope that the series will not turn Pete into a masochist. Judging form the trailer, teasers and now the new MV we got, it seems they are hinting us towards this but I really hope It's just a false assumption. I love their dynamic in the novel and I hope they transfer it that way into the series too.
Pete is not a masochist, they tried to somehow convince us in the novel that he was one but it did not work. He never enjoyed any of the pain Vegas inflicted on him. But let's say that even if he was a masochist, I don't think he would still enjoy any of the torture he went through, he is not supposed to enjoy it after all in my opinion. Pete spends a lot of time with Vegas while he is kept as a hostage that is why he understands where Vegas is coming from. But,he still wants to be free, he still wants to escape, he is still afraid of Vegas. His feelings become more complicated as he starts falling in love cause his feelings of love contradict the pain of getting hurt by someone he starts to fall in love with.
Vega's aim at the beginning is to hurt him, break his roul, rip him into pieces. In his eyes Pete is nothing more than a toy for him to torture and then cast away when he is done, he is just a pawn of the enemy. However, that changes over time, he starts seeing Pete as a person and that person becomes his most important person. Then he is faced with the guilt and suffering that he was the one to hurt the person he loves. That's where Vega's character takes a huge turn, throught his story with Pete we see him change slowly but once he realizes the pain he put Pete through is where he changes completely and that's a very important part in their story. I feel that if they make Pete a masochist they might take away the most crucial part of their love story, and that is Vegas abandoning his dark side because of Pete.
This ended up as a longer comment than I intended it to be lol, anyways I might just be overthinking after all. This couple happens to be my favorite in the series and I want to see their story as it is supposed to be, all the stages of it, the pain, the suffering, the angst, the love and the forgiveness.
Yeah I thought this is what was happening that's why I am so broken!Like Vegas put him through so much but he…
I thinkt hey are trying to tone it down, bur Pete being a masochist is not gonna cut it. I like their dynamic in the novel and I really want them to transfer it in the series as well.
