I imagine what standards western shows hold their actors up to, I mean it takes A LOT to get fired of a western show, like Charlie Sheen level insanity, imagine if he’d been fired for being a bully in school...

I’m not saying bullying isn’t bad, and I know this show is being cancelled because of something completely different, but two other shows have been delayed and re cast because the main leads used to be assholes in high school. Imagine having your life ruined by something you did 10 years ago. And your not the same person anymore, there’s a big shift in personality with pretty much every human being when you go from being a teenager to an adult, 80% of ppl in their late 20s will tell you they hate and are ashamed of the person they were as a teenager and the ones that don’t are lying usually.

South Korea fosters a culture of abuse in the workplace, their culture specifically targets ppl who are weaker or not as successful not as rich, their taught to think of ppl like that as failures and then when their children start to copy the behaviour their parents exhibit in the workforce they suddenly go, oh no that’s not ok? What exactly were they expecting?

Hate on me if you want, but the cases of sexual abuse in south Korea are rising, women account for 98% of reported cases (in around 10.000 cases, in one year) of domestic violence and sexual harassment and more than half the homicide cases in the whole country, as in South Korea has one of the highest rates of female homicide in the world.
Their government refused to extradite a known child pornography distributor after he’d served an 18 month sentence for the crime. 18 month for child pornography distribution? It’s a joke.

You know why they ‘care’ so much about bullying? Let me make it clear, they don’t, they would prefer to keep their society and culture the way it is, but you know, these days abuse and violence aren’t a good look, especially since every single person in the world can see exactly how much of it happens in your country. So they punish their celebrities for it, for a few years before they make a come back and no one gives a fuck anymore.

Ugh I don’t even know what I’m trying to say anymore, I read too much and I get pissed off easily...

You can see the parts where a double is used, it’s usually the difficult jumps and pirouettes, the camera will switch from close angles to a wide shot or suddenly you’ll be seeing his back instead of his face, or the most obvious one is a full shot of the body with literally just the head cut off, if you watch carefully you can see it easily enough.

I get so fucking annoyed by the concept of children being responsible for their adult parents actions in k dramas. It’s the most disgusting thing, just absolutely gross. Only inbred idiotic assholes behave and think like that where I live. And the rest of us look down and ignore them because people like that are not worth anything let alone your precious time.

Omfg this is like the 4th drama to be cancelled, delayed or changed due to some controversy this year.

This is getting out of hand man.

Ba Reum was the real killer from the start, Yo Han knew and was trying to stop him but he got fucked up instead.

Yo Hans mom abandoned Ba Reum when he was little, he killed his parents and at some point lost his memories of his childhood.

Also XD Ba Reum would have huge MULTIPLE scars after a bunch of brain surgeries not one tiny little one, also his hair wouldn’t be covering it there would be no hair growing there for a while XD but MLS gotta look good right

It’s really disappointing that he only has one good drama and one good movie. The rest are just generic rom coms that literally any actor could play. But Soo Hyun is very talented as we’ve seen in IOTNBO and, even though it wasn’t exactly a great movie, in Real. Those are the only two we actually get to see him ACT in. The rest are just... nothing. I was really hoping he would do Finger, it looks like something he could have been great in, I mean it made Christian Bale into a fucking superstar I think it could have been even better with Soo Hyun. But it looks like he’s doing a fucking Criminal justice, Laywers and cops one instead and it sounds fucking boring and basic compared to Finger... I really hope he decides to do better shows in the future...

I just realised that his new drama is a remake of criminal justice. That show was great, but remakes are always a tough sell, it could be great or it could be fucking terrible… I hope it isn’t though

The ending pretty much ruins any real impact this movie had. It’s sad ‘coz the movie is actually pretty good, it manages to keep the suspense going even with the slightly ridiculous premise. The action is good, the characters are believable and it’s not predictable. Right up until the end. Those last 5 minutes ruin any credibility this movie had and turn a solid psychological thriller into a b grade, UFOs on strings tier sci fi...

I’m getting a bit sick of Han Ju Wons character tbh. He goes around doing fucked up shit all the time and getting away with it but he’s constantly on Dong Sik’ back about turning himself in for something that is in no way his fault, I just don’t get the motivation behind his character. Is he just a bit of a sociopath? Yeah ok I know he confessed to the whole sting operation and causing the prostitutes death, but he definitely knew he wouldn’t actually get punished for it even though he asked and I’m 100 sure he only acts like that and says things like that to seem righteous I’m pretty sure he’s definitely just mindfucking everyone for no particular reason except he’s a narcissist and can’t imagine that anyone besides himself is ever in the right.

I just watched the teaser for part 2 yesterday and it looks great! I’m super excited for that ^^

Is it? BoYa arrives at the courtyard one day, they spend the night and the next day their best friends and go off to fight on the bridge. I’m pretty sure that happens in the frame of two days. Unless I missed extra days somewhere in between did I?

XD oh man don’t get me started on the Cimu thing! That part was the worst slap in the face. Like the second you see that obviously male character beside the Snow chick I just rolled my eyes. I didn’t want to believe the twist would be so lazy, but I knew it would be... it was so disappointing. And you’re so right! If we’d at least seen more of Cimu, BaiNi and QingMings relationship at least then the betrayal would have meant something, it would have been painful to see! But like this, it was just predictable, lazy and insulting to the audience. I just remember laughing at the overly dramatic score and editing when the Snow chick tells QingMing it’s Cimu like adding loud orchestra and flashing close up editing is not going to make up for the lack of development in the characters. Those things add to the feeling but they don’t make up for the lack of it.

I would really like to read the novel tbh, I don’t know if it’s been translated but I’m going to go check novel updates right now actually XD

Where can I watch this? It’s not on Viki at least not in my region and online I’ve only found 3 episodes that have been subbed. I don’t mind waiting I’m just wondering if it up somewhere else? Like maybe irozoku subs?

Yeah I was so fucking annoyed at BoYa’ character in this movie >_< the Bromance in the dream was really good and really well written, while in this movie they spend like a few hours together drinking and their suddenly best friends and BoYa’ running around willing to give his life for QingMing, he’s making long ass speeches at the end of the movie about QingMing who he’s know for like 2 days, but he’s talking about him like he’s known his for years >_<, it was just, bad...

But, yeah your right XD if you ignore it and don’t compare this movie was entertaining. It’s just that I can’t help it XD

I’m so glad I’m not the only one that thinks dream of eternity was better >_<. This one just tried to hard to be everything, there was so much stuff happening and so many characters that barely any of them got any screen time! Dream of eternity had like 6 characters, but they were all so well written and you could feel what they were feeling! It was so much better. The relationships between the two main couples (I’m calling BoYa and QingMing a couple in the brothers best friends kind of way) were great. I felt bad for the empress and her lover, I wanted them to be together, to be able to love each other and live their lives. But in this movie I could care less about Shen Le and QingMing’ relationship, it was shallow and basic. And BoYa and QingMing in dream were just fantastic, I loved that they really didn’t start getting along until almost the last third of the movie! They weren’t suddenly pushed into being all BFF, it was gradual and there was reason behind it. But again, in this movie they drink together once spend a few hours together and their suddenly willing to die for each other, like what the fuck...

Anyway, I’m sorry for the long ass reply I just needed to vent my frustration at the movie XD

Oof That’s good, really, and thanks for replying. Recently I’ve been seeing so many fan girls fetishising male friendships that it’s really started making so fucking angry. Especially when I see them complaining about men objectifying women, then two comments later I see them drooling over two men hugging. I just can’t ignore it anymore >_<

I’m not trying to change your opinion it’s more than obvious that you don’t really understand the situation at all. You’ve never been in a situation like the two characters you are talking about, so you have zero right to judge it in any way. But of course your still allowed to think whatever you want to think.

I don’t love House but it was entertaining and easy to watch, does this show have the same kind of feel and plot?
