It can't be helped. FL and ML are not a couple. she had any right to have a feeling for SML.
lol she clearly likes the ML but doesn't realize it. she can be herself with him. he doesn't want her to be anything else but her own self. she doesn't wanna show her real self to SML and only wants to look a certain way to impress him, but that means she's not close to him at all.
