Ha! I try to keep an open mind, which is pretty easy when you're discussing beautiful men. I do appreciate Japan and Taiwan for presenting natural faces. Some actors (and Kpop artists) look a little plastic from what I assume is too much surgery. Unfortunately I think Jeff may be one of them, or at the least he's too worried about having a small waist and is a little emaciated for my taste. (Personally, I'd add a few pounds to most of these men.) His earlier, more natural self was so beautiful, with a little extra weight, slightly messy hair, and less makeup. I am absolutely pro men wearing makeup (and I loved the kpop men in skirts era!), but as with women, I appreciate when its enhancing their beauty and not remaking their face. In some CBL faces are noticeably lighter than necks, arms, hands, etc. Such a shame! And Hsu Kai is also on my list!

I dont think its terrible, but its probably getting the rating it deserves. The promo laid out a story we just arent getting. Without those expectations I think some folks would rate it higher.

I think one of the things that is amazing me about this show (other than how it has captured my soul) is how it manages to be a true romantic comedy. The range is incredible, and the actors executing that range are incredible. It makes me laugh and cry. I know other shows have tried to do that, but honestly they either get smirk+tears or laughter+"aww". I dont think any have ever gotten the full range of emotions out of me!

I never read posts this long, but I made an exception. This was fascinating to me! My knee jerk response is that someone is struggling with either mental health issues or sexual identity. That might explain the obsession with a genre they don't seem to actually enjoy. Or maybe they hate that other reviewers are so quick to hand out praise to every show where two men kiss? I get that, but the constant 1/10 ratings over multiple accounts seems obsessive whatever the reason.

I am an unsophisticated woman and dont know whether it's animation or ai animation (although I suspect the later). Either way Id prefer live actors, but I absolutely take your point that animation can involve real work by real humans.
