Gosh I genuinely don't know how they did that scene which is shown in the 1st 17 seconds of episode 38 I can't imagine the amount of awkwardness and nervousness
Novel has 761 chapters I've completed 500 chapters so far Li changshou is the epitome of overthinking He meets yun xiao for the 1st time in 183rd chapter who is atleast tens of thousands of years older than him
3 differences in episodes 29-30 compared to the novel
1. In the novel changyu severely injured lord changxin but xie zheng delivered the killing blow while changyu killed lord changxin all by herself in the drama 2. In the novel changyu's maternal grandfather is the one who's criticized as a traitor while it's her father in the drama 3. In the novel He jingyuan told most of the truth to changyu before he died while in the drama he only told her part of it by a letter
is the change bad? I wanted to read the novel before the drama airs
Novel focused on how women should behave and conduct themselves according to the society in that time period Wei Rao's (fl in the novel) maternal family and her did the exact opposite of societal norms Fl and ml's marriage circumstances is the same in both drama and novel i.e good luck marriage In the novel, wei rao married lu zhuo while ml was unconscious It took them a while to get feelings for each other but miscommunication was a major issue in their relationship Then they overcome that Ml's family had no issues in the novel . For eg: there aren't any dangers within the family, no lu family member would sabotage another lu family member Wei rao doesn't have to be a villain imo That might be a letdown for some novel readers She was a good character in the novel so when she's portrayed as a villain while a character who's not even in the novel to be made as the fl might not sit well with some novel readers

She gets quite tired after sleeping with him
Didn't expect them to actually include those scenes
A' chou isn't in the novel
Dual role is only for the drama
I'm talking about wei rao the female lead in the novel
I've completed 500 chapters so far
Li changshou is the epitome of overthinking
He meets yun xiao for the 1st time in 183rd chapter who is atleast tens of thousands of years older than him
Song yan joins the list
The list - guys getting slapped in this drama
