People were worried and upset because in the novel there is definitely zero consent, and Vee actually deliberately…
I think the series will probably be far more enjoyable than Tossara, I can already see the actors are carrying it much better. I'm still going to drop it, but I hope you enjoy it!

I checked out the first episode and at least was satisfied to see that the actively problematic parts were glossed over. As far as I can see at least they aren't trying to promote the rape-to-love storyline. Even with that, I found myself not entirely comfortable watching and inadvertently supporting a storyline like that getting picked up and rewarded with a series, so I'm just going to leave this for others who may enjoy it. I continue to really appreciate the actors though, it is a vast improvement from Tossara and I hope they continue to get more opportunities!

Okay. I wasn't going to watch this because of what I'd heard but someone encouraged me to watch. I'm actually…
People were worried and upset because in the novel there is definitely zero consent, and Vee actually deliberately hurts Mark because he enjoys it. It seems they've glossed over that in the series to make it more palatable for TV which is understandable, without that ambiguity, there would have been no way it was safe for broadcast. Still bothers me that a rape-to-love storyline got picked up again, but I supposed at least they're not actively promoting on broadcast?

I'm happy the company decided to fight back, I just wish that they hadn't needed to. The development has been great. What I like about Bohn and Duen is that they communicate, and there seems to be some great character development with Bohn. He started off self-centered and hot-headed like Duen said this episode, but slowly he's learning to curb those aspects of himself because he cares about Duen and wants to be a better person for him. I think it shows that sometimes you meet people who make you want to be a better person. I freaking love all the siblings, they add so much to the show haha. Ram and King are probably the most interesting couple I've seen on a BL in a while, their scenes have left me completely intrigued for the rest of their relationship (and they make one hell of a power couple haha). Even though Thara and Frong started off shaky, I kind of like the idea that Thara is going to "tame" the spitfire Frong lol Frong deserves to be happy too after he very maturely decided to be the bigger person in the almost love triangle situation. Mek and Boss are probably my least favorite but I'm still enjoying their characters, and I can appreciate Mek truly showing that you can selflessly love someone without expecting anything in return. Can't wait till next week!

Oh that's... kind of a good way to put it? I'd say sitcom in the sense that The Good Place is a sitcom, though. That's…
Agree :)

So I just found out today that this series is like a Sitcom, which makes so much sense (LazySubber mentioned it). So in case anyone who is barely getting into the series is wondering what the tone is like...well...there you go haha

I'm really enjoying Fighter/Tutor but I'm not really feeling Saifah/Zon tbh.. Zon looks like a 30 yo man and Saifah…
Just my take on things, but it seems to me that Zon started liking Saifah after spending so much time with him. To me their plot is more of a slow-burn, where they actually got to know each other before realizing that they had feelings for each other at the end of it. Which is also a little more realistic than a the "love at first sight" trope. Though I do think there was a spark of attraction from that first kiss, which is why there as so much animosity between them, and so much denial and distance from Zon who was freaked out by it.

From the statement, the finale is mostly filmed already. So we will get the Saifah/Zon ending. We'll just be missing…
Thank you for clarifying! And again, I think that's fine and totally understandable. It's great for them to make up for that what is missing in a special episode afterwards too. I just hope all the actors and staff remain safe :)

It got better towards the end. There are still a lot of issues I have with it but I appreciate the conversations they had, and that they did develop their relationship in a healthy way. Not the best but worth a binge of the four episodes if you're looking for something to watch. My takeaway from this is that I love Folk and I hope he continues acting, he has great potential.

I really like how this is progressing. I look forward to Saturdays so much now lol since I'm working from home my days just blend together. As much as I love some other series that are ongoing right now, I'm really rooting for this one. It's really feel good and doesn't leave you in a puddle of frustration (yet) like some of the other ones. I love that it's heartwarming and actually comedic, all the characters are really strong and have definitive storylines that they're carrying really well so far. Looking forward to next week already!

EDIT: I'll also add a PSA that if you are skipping ahead by watching the episodes uploaded outside the official channels, please go back and watch the new episode uploaded on the official Youtube channel every week even if you've already seen it.

It seems subs aren't availiable yet, but the synopsis has me feeling ehh. If there was subs, I'd choose to watch…
If you didn't know there's a prequel that's the story of how they met and fell in love.

I think people are being a little ridiculous about the situation. So you have to wait a bit, it's not the end of the world. Whether it was an issue with management or not, it doesn't change that this is the best scenario for everyone involved in the drama due to actual serious concerns, like their health and safety. If that means the ending gets delayed then it gets delayed. I would rather that then them pushing through with filming and endangering people. It's so silly to get angry and upset now, especially when there's nothing for them to do at this point. I wouldn't want to feel they need to push forward too soon because people are freaking out instead of being understanding. I know they've talked about just finishing the series with Tutor and Saint's ending and then releasing Saifah and Zon's which is fine too.

I will never get why some bl series out there get all the hype even though they're really not all that when this…
Probably OT from what you were talking about but I also want to point out lost views that are skewing things a bit. When the pirated episodes get uploaded to Youtube they get a huge number of views. For example, when episode 5 was first uploaded I was curious if the view counts would be similar to what the official channel's views get and yeah, no where near, they get WAY more. The first upload (and most popular one, since there are usually multiple) within a day easily had upwards of 800K views which is comparable to some of the more popular series ongoing right now. On the official channel, each episode uploaded right now could easily have 1M+ views. The company has, of course, been reporting pirated uploads as quickly as they can which means they get deleted, so people don't realize how many views the series is actually getting. Especially if you consider that these unofficial channels often re-upload multiple times after their videos get deleted and each subsequent upload still receives views. For people watching the pirated content (which I would say is most people judging by views) they're ahead by two weeks. That means two weeks of views from these other channels being deleted and lost. By the time the episode is released on the official channel the view count is much slower because 1. people have already seen it or 2. people are barely discovering the official channel.

I would say it's hard to gauge the show's actual popularity because the views are so off right now. From what I've seen it's getting a good amount of positive attention and hype, I just wish that was better reflected in counts that might actually help them (like views) and it was easier for people to find and access the official content. I'm at the very least hoping that people who are skipping ahead to watch the pirated content, consider re-watching on official channels when they finally upload. I think it'll help once people continue to get more familiar with the official channel. It would help if their videos had more views - people would then find them easier - but I hope it's slowly getting better. Sorry lol that was a long rant haha.

Can we talk about how this drama does not have the annoying dribble I hate in BLs? No stereotypically offensive…
Speaking of soundtrack though, I love Bohn and Duen's "song", it usually comes on during their softer moments.

Ok. I read some of their story and w.t.f. I have no idea how they're going to make this work for TV, let alone make their love story believable (please I hope they don't because that shouldn't be promoted). The level of toxic and twisted in their relationship is insane. I can't believe they read the plot for these stories and decided it was a good idea to produce them as a series. I'm honestly shocked.

FYI for those who may be interested, Game and Jeff (Mike and Peem, the main couple) will be in another mini-series titled Ingredients that is airing every Saturday. The pilot episode was already released and I'm loving the feel of it already. My prayers below for them to be re-cast in another series have been answered lol

I just saw something that blew my mind. Did they recast this bl before filming???
Yeah this series went through a crazy amount of casting changes lol I was positive it was never going to air. I was shocked when the announced an air date and that Cooper was the new lead.

This series so far has exceeded all my expectations. I'm honestly so surprised at how much it has caught and kept my attention, I wasn't expecting much when I first started watching it but it's quickly proved to be pretty solid. I'm really loving the character development so far. All of the couples have an interesting and compelling storyline, even the couple I'm not so into, and I'm actually super enjoying all of the secondary characters (especially the kids). They've done a really fantastic job on this series and I hope that it gets the support it deserves. Everyone is saying it but I'm saying it again, please watch from the official channels. Heading into the more recent episodes I'm so happy to see Bohn putting Duen first over himself (it's not often you see that with the more self-centered male leads), listening to what Duen wants and respecting that, and being honest and open about his feelings towards him from the beginning. I'm also already completely in love with Ram and King, they're going to snatch me I already know it.

So Tutor and Fighter are basically married now then, because that was totally a honeymoon.
