In cdrama it's normal to do extra makeup/dressup to show as a disguise.
Being extra was not the issue. Did you see her cheeks? Lol did you see her lips. It looked like a toddler playing in Mommy's makeup

Regardless of the reason it was awful makeup. I read it was because the character did not know how to apply make up. If that is the case they could have included a quick explanation
