Forget the amnesia trope, I hate unrealistic relationships. In what world would you not tell your boyfriend what his sister said? I don't like when they write weak women; most kdramas are guilty of that. It's becoming very tiring to watch. Give us FL who aren't afraid to stand up for themselves; that should be the standard.
Did you want a rich guy falls in love with poor girl story, how bland.
You clearly didn’t read the synopsis of the movie and now you’re blaming the movie not yourself since you failed to read the synopsis and this movie released in theatres first so you could’ve very well read reviews online before“ wasting your time“. This movie was never about people “fighting for their lives” had you read you wouldn’t have watched the movie with that in mind.
Honest opinion: It’s a good movie, not great or revolutionary, but definitely not bad. Don’t listen to the negative comments; if you read most of them, there’s nothing concrete being said. Many "commenters" simply didn’t understand the movie, and that lack of understanding shows in their reviews.
The film has an interesting plot, engaging characters, and solid acting. If you’re not a fan of minimalist or “2D” character-driven stories, you might not enjoy it, but that simplicity is actually the beauty of this movie. Despite having only three main characters, it manages to deliver effectively.
The AI storyline is particularly compelling; it made me question how far artificial intelligence can go and how far humans are willing to push it. Nevertheless, if you’re open-minded and not closed off to unconventional storytelling, I think this movie is definitely worth watching.
I am very sorry but who trained their English lines? it is a disaster. I would be ashamed to let it air in such…
Context matters. In 1998, I don't think South Koreans were worried about their English; Koreans only started learning English recently. I like what the director did; it gives it a more realistic touch.
I just finished episode 1, and honestly, this drama is not going to be light or fluffy. It’s already clear from the tone and the characters’ emotions. The female lead constantly has this quiet sadness in her eyes—even when she’s trying not to cry. When she sees the male lead again after two years, you can tell she’s on the verge of breaking down. Their relationship is obviously complicated, full of knots and unresolved feelings. She’s happy to see him, but you can also feel the pain from their past. There’s so much unfinished business—not just between them, but within her as a person. She’s the type to carry everything inside, and I can already see that we’ll be watching her cry more than once. These are just my thoughts after episode 1, but wow… this drama is definitely going to be heavy.
I know I am late to the party, I'm on ep 8 and everything is pissing me off. the mother is on my neck; I drop the drama; it is because of her. not to mention the ex-finance, that a$$, SHE TOO IS PSSING ME OFF LIKE WHY DON'T YOU TELL HIM TO PISS OFF???? it makes no sense to me, and the mother is enabling all this from his side. I hate how in most Kdramas the mother NEVER takes the daughter's side, awful. the father right now is the only person I can say I am at peace with. the younger brother is 30??? I thought that dude was like 24! but 30?? oh noo. Another thing Kdramas do in drama like this is make the older sister successful and all put together, and the younger brother useless, for lack of a better word. Just no. I'm sick of it.
